Romney on the way in doesn't equal liberalism on the way out. I don't think I have ever seen a more delusional group than what passes for "conservatives" these days.
Skippy| 6.16.12 @ 3:17PM
OK, you're right.
We should all live in caves until Reagan is reincarnated.
Thanks, Mr. Axelrod.

So "good conservatives" vote for the liberal. Choice in November: corporatism or fascism.
No wait, Mussolini said the proper name for fascism is corporatism. I know you neo cons don't have much of a problem with it no matter what we call it.
So be a loyal party member, I know how much it means to you.
Crassus| 6.17.12 @ 11:05AM
NEOCON!!! NEOCON!!!
Oldefarte| 6.17.12 @ 11:31AM
"corporatism"? What a joke, and a stupid one at that. Typical! Moron the word you may be looking for instead is CAPITALISM, which provides J-O-B-S [private sector that is], benefits and financial properity to millions of individuals. Oh wait, I forgot. You domestic terrorists aka liberals/progressives/community organizers/anarchists/thugs, ie labor unionists etc all prefer PUBLIC SECTOR EMPLOYMENT aka welfare dependency, right? Enslavement to the massahs, stupidity, trickle down [governmental welfare] benefits in order to keep you dumb and dumber, right? Down with them ol corperates and their PAYCHECKS FOR LABOR, huh? Heil the ONE, youlser!!!!!!!
Bob K| 6.18.12 @ 12:51AM
We used to have lots of private sector jobs created by Capitalism until they were exported to China. Now we need to create more. If we do win the election and are able to create more I wonder if they will stay here?
What do you think?
RJ| 6.16.12 @ 12:03PM
Let's hope so, but the "liberal" virus will always be with us and there are many versions of it; statism, socialism, communism, and fascism. "Liberalism" = dependency, exploitation & corruption. Unfortunately, too many Americans have become dependent on government and accepting of governmental exploitation and corruption. It will take time to change the culture. There will always be people who seek to live off of others as well as seek power over others.

The last truly devout, but good and honorable liberal was Hubert Humphrey, and I think he turned the light out, when he left the room.
RJ| 6.16.12 @ 6:20PM
HHH was a good and honorable man and a sincere liberal. A close family member of mine knew his sister fairly well. As I understand it, his political views were shaped by the Depression and in his final years in the 1970s, he was concerned by society's change in behavior, as he saw how government programs led to less self-reliance and less responsible conduct. From my own prespective, the liberalism of the Great Society was attractive at the time, but experience showed that its negative unintended consequences far outweigh the good that most government programs can do. As Churchill said, youth and inexperience will lead you to liberalism; learning from your experience will lead you to conservatism.
Oldefarte| 6.17.12 @ 11:41AM
With all due respect, no liberal is decent [not even HHH]. Liberals are hypocritical to the core, in that they believe in stealing more and more of income earners' income via governmental taxiation, so as to convert same to governmental welfare benefits for the historical/lifelong indigents in life. Liberals do not want to improve public education, or to wean these indigents off of governmental welfare because they would diminish their political power over same if that happened. It's all about their political power, not about helping these indigents. They want food stamp credit-type cards so that recipients can spend the governments money stolen from taxpayers on booze, cigarettes, and other crapola [while their starving children die a slow death from malnutrition and disease]. they do not want to vastly improve public education since then its graduates would be smart enough to obtain/prosper in employments that would make them self-sustaining and no longer in need of welfare. Poor, dumb and stupid, that is what liberals wish for the population, so that they will forever be dependent upon government and therefore upon their elected Democrats!!!!!!!!!
Cobalt| 6.16.12 @ 9:50PM
I have never had a liberal bone in my body; not even before my youth dissipated on me. However, I always respected people like Hubert Humphery and Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
Humphrey seemed to be emotional, and even ethereal at times. Moynihan was more grounded, and pragmatic than Humphrey. Senator Paul Simon from Illinois was another good man.
While I considered myself to be very conservative, that never prohibited me from admiring the character and substance of these men. I wish they were still here.
Oldefarte| 6.17.12 @ 11:43AM
I disagree respectfully entirely, since they're all corrupt and hypocritical. Liberals are the greatest liars on this earth. It's all about maintaining their political power!!!!

"The main vice of capitalism is the uneven distribution of prosperity. The main vice of socialism is the even distribution of misery." --Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)
Oldefarte| 6.17.12 @ 11:45AM
Capitalism is no vice, but rather represents individualism!!!!!!!!
james wilson| 6.18.12 @ 12:01PM
We often hear this delusion, mistaken for inspiration, that the left is dying through the weight of it's accumulated failures, when misery is the only state which the left is comfortable with. The great historians will tell you that democracies do not end with a bang, but a wimper. There is no telling how long we may wimper.
