Come on after me, FBI. If this is sedition (which it isn’t), make the most of it.

This president’s abuse of excecutive orders, and executive authority in general, is moving into the range of authoritarianism — and lawless authoritarianism, at that. Today’s announcement of amnesty for 800,000 illegals is an outrage. It must not stand. And this president, this Occupier, must not be countenanced. By all legal means, he ought to be resisted.

Not a whole lot anybody can do about it, is there? Just like all of the other criminal scandals of the Regime; forged documents, gun running, deaths, voter intimidation, personal threats (anybody heard from Stacy McCain?); we all know the litany.

There is no justice department, expecting it to do anything is fantasy. The media? Right.. sure...

Nothing is going to be done before January 20, 2013. (It will get far worse than it is now.) I also don't expect the spineless Willard Milton Romney to do much about cleaning up the filth after that date, either.

Nothing to see here... Keep your mouths shut, your hands and arms inside the car; and move along.

Article of Impeachment. Violation of Oath of Office: failure to uphold the law, abuse of power.

Conservative Bob| 6.18.12 @ 10:44AM

Except he would then have to be tried in the senate controlled by Harry Reid... not going to happen. I agree with you in principle but this president could be filmed shooting a border agent in cold blood in front of 100 witnesses and there would be no trial... and calls for articles would be deemed racist.

Bob S| 6.15.12 @ 5:33PM

This is a dictator-in-chief. This is a cheap way to get votes. This is another reason to throw Holder out if his DoJ will not enforce immigration laws. This is an outrage and must be stopped.

Kingofthenet| 6.15.12 @ 5:36PM

I guess we know who the decider is NOW, Don't we? I also like how he pushed that NeoCon Grub back down into his hole...

Simon Templar| 6.15.12 @ 7:07PM

If you want to live under a dictatorship, move to Cuba you damn, f7&^%%^king, left wing troll.

Oldefarte| 6.16.12 @ 11:12AM

Your 'decider' will be deciding what brand of toilet paper to buy inside a Chicago supermarket after January 2013. Have a nice day!!!!!!!!!

Bob Grant| 6.15.12 @ 6:33PM

As bad as it is, what he's doing to our legal system pales in comparison to what he's doing to our dollar.

Simon Templar| 6.15.12 @ 7:05PM

Thank you, Quin, for being perhaps the only person in the US that has noticed this...

This is truly insane and an insane time in which we are living. When is the GOP going to put its foot down and draw the line in the sand?
Is the Republic truly gone? Has it become so corrupt and complacent that there is actually nothing this jackass can do that will garnish a response, a protest, an impeachment????

TNcracker | 6.16.12 @ 8:10AM

Amen! It's time for the GOP to at least bring articles of impeachment, EVEN KNOWING that the criminal democrat Senate will do nothing. I can't believe the GOP doesn't realize that those who believe in the Constitution at least need a voice in this debacle. Is there ANYTHING Obama can do that will push the GOP to act??

tonypal| 6.16.12 @ 5:44PM

Gee, you might want to think that one over TNcracker. We're 5 months away from getting rid of the guy and you want to hand him a lethal campaign issue. Just brilliant. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from sharp objects.

Impeachment is an utter waste of time. Yes, we all agree the man is acting with criminal contempt of the Constitution. If we were into his second term and congressional democrats themselves were openly complaining about his behavior, then I'd say go for it. But it's likely the guy is a goner this fall. The last thing we need is to make him a victim. Again, try giving it a bit more thought.

TNcracker | 6.17.12 @ 9:05AM

Valid point. (I don't see why it was necessary to insult me, but whatever) Suppose BHO daily from now until election day did something equally egregious and unconstitutional? Hopefully that won't happen, but is there anything he could do that would convince you that action should be taken before November?

JD| 6.15.12 @ 7:29PM

As did Hitler before him, he who gained office by seizing on bad times, playing off fear, promising the moon, and blaming bankers and Jews is now pushing the envelope, seizing more and more powers in ways that were previously illegal in the nation he rules.

JD| 6.15.12 @ 7:31PM

After years of ignoring the rules, we are now going to find out if anyone will stop a president who blatantly violates them.

Occam's Tool| 6.15.12 @ 8:59PM

He is despicable. Unfortunately, given the snail like pace of American jurisprudence and the fact that the Democrats control one of the Houses of Congress, expect the election to have occurred before anything will be done about this.

Occam's Tool| 6.15.12 @ 9:00PM

Besides, Quin, your use of virtual is incorrect. Last I checked, Treason is a crime.

Cobalt| 6.15.12 @ 9:50PM

"treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors".

Why doesn't The House of Representatives impeach this arrogant clown?

Oldefarte| 6.16.12 @ 11:15AM

Why bother?....it's a waste of time. Simply vote for Romney/Republicans in November....case closed!!!!!!

aware| 6.16.12 @ 4:06PM

O'Banion's mob is so much better than Capone's, right?

Oldefarte| 6.16.12 @ 5:11PM

Don't know about that..... but I DO KNOW THAT ANYONE IS BETTER THAN THE CURRENT POTUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tonypal| 6.16.12 @ 5:47PM

Please see my comment above. Anyone calling for this guy to be impeached is off their rocker. As you said, we simply beat him this fall and be rid of him. We can always investigate his behavior, even after he's gone. In fact, I would encourage continuing investigations because the American people need to know what this piece of excrement has done. But impeachment is an early Christmas gift for the guy.

Occam's Tool| 6.18.12 @ 1:26AM

A good point, Tony.

Maisy| 6.15.12 @ 9:22PM

Iowa Republican Rep Steve King said he will sue Obama over immigration policy.

Matthew S Harrison| 6.15.12 @ 10:40PM

The proper recourse when a president violates his oath of office is Impeachment, not a freaking lawsuit!

Matthew S Harrison| 6.15.12 @ 10:40PM

he's not virtually a criminal-he is a criminal. most, if not all of his EO's are unconstitutional, he murders citizens without trial, he is spying with drones without warrant or probable cause, and he is openly handing secrets to the Russians.
he is a criminal-and as such should be in JAIL.
Too bad there isn't a man in all of the capitol, or we may have had an impeachment years ago.

Cobalt| 6.16.12 @ 1:12PM

Obama can issue a kind of Executive Order called a Presidential Directive.

A Presidential Directive is supposedly issued in conjunction with the National Security Council, and can be classified. Therefore, we have no idea what Obama has already secretively signed, or will sign in the future.

http://www.justice.gov/olc/predirective.htm

Cobalt| 6.16.12 @ 10:14PM

"secretly" not "secretively"

RCV| 6.15.12 @ 10:43PM

The President's announcement today on immigration policy is both smart politics and good policy. Nor is there anything illegal or improper about it, Quin's protestations notwithstanding. All executive officers, down to the cop on the beat, must exercise discretion in choosing their law enforcement policies and emphases. Obama's policy focuses deportation efforts where they belong.

Kingofthenet| 6.15.12 @ 11:41PM

Nah Man, Don't you know? we should "Hang Em High"

darcy| 6.16.12 @ 2:31AM

To RCV:

"With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case, because there are laws on the books that Congress has passed — and I know that everybody here at Bell is studying hard so you know that we’ve got three branches of government. Congress passes the law. The executive branch’s job is to enforce and implement those laws. And then the judiciary has to interpret the laws.

There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as President."

I give to you the President who speaks with forked tongue.

RCV| 6.16.12 @ 7:16PM

Darcy, it's not an Executive Order "suspending all deportations.". This President has deported more illegal aliens every year of his presidency than any other President before him. It's a wise allocation of where we are going to concentrate our deportation efforts.

darcy| 6.16.12 @ 7:24PM

The text in question does not say "all" deportations, as you have so conveniently inserted.

RCV| 6.17.12 @ 1:14AM

It's not even a Presidential executive order, Darcy. It's simply an announcement by the department of a change in how they will exercise their prosecutorial discretion vis-a-vis deportations. Continuing to focus on deporting illegals who violate criminal laws, instead of students who were brought here as children, simply makes sense in terms of allocation of resources.

Oldefarte| 6.16.12 @ 11:18AM

Yeah, it's 'smart politics' for dictators giving their finger to congressional oversight and the constitution. The only 'smart politics' will be IF the American voters elect Romney in November and remedy the DUMBARS POLITICS that they exhibited on 11/4/08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fmm| 6.16.12 @ 12:45PM

Definitiion of Executive Order: an order having the force of law issued by the president of the U.S. to the army, navy, or other part of the executive branch of the government. As you will note there is nothing here indicating that he can change the laws of the land, he can only issue decrees in those areas where the constitution gives him power.

CJW| 6.16.12 @ 2:54PM

The immigration law provides for penalties for violations. Obama has unilaterally waived or eliminated the penalties for a group of violators that meet conditions set by Obama. This is clearly illegal because he is amending the statute to eliminate the penalties for a group of favored violators, unless the statute specifically gives him the power to waive such penalties. This is not different from Obama stating that bank robbers betwen the ages of 30 and 35 will not be sent to jail.

It may be good policy, but that should be determined by Congress, not by the prophet Obama.

It may be good politcs only if you believe that violating the laws to obtain votes is good politics. It is Chicago politics.

Occam's Tool| 6.16.12 @ 4:40PM

I will agree to disagree, RCV. As a man who paid tens of thousands more for medical school education as an out of state resident in Texas, I dislike this whole "coddling" stuff that is going on, and vociferously oppose in-state tuition for Illegal Aliens.

People should PLAY BY THE RULES. I did in adopting my two Mayan Indian children from Guatemala, and now I find that they are considered less "Indian" than Elizabeth Warren from the point of view of College Scholarships (Mayan is not a recognized American Indian tribe), and I do not bitch about that, I make plans to overcome it. Further, when I was in the process of adopting them, I had to hope and pray that UNICEF did not succeed in shutting the international adoption process down (I was very fortunate in that Jillian Michaels and I used the same adoption person---look up her website on it, the lady is 1st rate.)---my 1st personal experience with UN perfidy and malice.

I have little respect for people who don't play by the rules. My tuition in Texas went up 1000 percent, from $1400 to $14,400 over three years because of a bill that was passed at the end of my Freshman year. Financial transfers for Medical Students are discouraged. I had to eat that. Then I paid off ALL of my student loans by buying an inexpensive house and living in rural Alabama and being overwhelmed with work in my 1st full year of practice. I planned and overcame.

RCV| 6.16.12 @ 7:17PM

You're a wonderful guy Occam.

Kingofthenet| 6.17.12 @ 2:33PM

At least YOU have dual-Citizenship with Israel, Occam? You can just go there and put on a funny hat and grow Sidelocks and take some 'God Giving' Birthright land from some Palestinian Squatters. What am I going to do? British Columbia here I come!

RCV| 6.17.12 @ 2:55PM

BTW, Occam, happy Fathers' Day. Your children are so very lucky to have such a fine man as their father!

cali| 6.16.12 @ 5:15AM

@Quin Hillyer:
I join your observation!

What's next - a coup by declaring Marshal Law?

I must also mention what I observed today:
His rage-induced, narcisstic, phsycotic stuttering behavior towards the reporter showed a man closed to a mental breakdown!

JimH| 6.16.12 @ 7:45AM

To pick a small nit. That would be martial law. Unless you talking about Matt Dillon.

TNcracker | 6.16.12 @ 11:40AM

Not a small nit to me! Half the people (or more) get "martial" wrong! No offense, cali!

R Martin| 6.16.12 @ 8:24AM

Isn’t this simply the logical extension of a trend that has been going on for decades? The United States loses control of its borders and illegal immigrants (mostly Hispanic) pour into the country. As that flow grows and illegals become a meaningfully large interest group, politicians curry favor by making concessions to them, huge concessions. This, in turn, encourages more illegals whom politicians want to attract to their voting base, so the circle continues and grows.

For all those politicians over all those years pursuing short term political advantage American culture has been irrevocably changed--and not for the better. And where are we today? Obama and his friends in the media are challenging Romney and the Republicans to criticize this latest unilateral decree of amnesty. It probably won’t happen. As Vonnegut would say, “And so it goes.”

Bob Grant| 6.16.12 @ 9:21AM

Your attempts to thwart the destruction of America would be considered 'rasist' in some circles.

Sensitivity training awaits you. The course will be held immediately after your Bush 2 Minutes Hate.

Oldefarte| 6.16.12 @ 11:27AM

Let me see if I understand this situation correctly. On 11/4/08 the American voters acted on their belief in HOPE & CHANGE and elected a dictatorish socialist from Chicago who was previously an inexperienced community organizing lawyer for Acorn etc; who has thereafter ignored the constitution, slandered another branch of government while providing the finger at the other; all for the extreme/radical/socialistic/self-centered politics of the Democratic Party and its major benefactors, LABOR UNIONS; while manically waging political war upon anyone earning income and capitalism in general; all at the manipulation of his goon-squad handlers from Chicago. Is that about right?????????????????????????

clemsberry| 6.16.12 @ 11:35AM

total marxist with no fear. oppose, oppose, oppose him.

Kingofthenet| 6.16.12 @ 12:02PM

Chill out Conservatives, the President has UNLIMITED Pardon Powers, he can blanket pardon 800,000 as well as 8 Million with the swipe of a pen. That there is REAL power.

Skippy| 6.16.12 @ 1:48PM

Heil HoBama!

Skippy| 6.16.12 @ 1:49PM

November.
THAT is real power!

CJW| 6.16.12 @ 2:57PM

You can pardon a person only if that person has been convicted of a crime, charged with a crime, or may be charged with a crime. The key operative word is a CRIME. By using the word pardon you are admitting that the violators of the crime have been pardoned.

Is that is Obama's justification, that he is pardoning crimes by the designated group?

aware| 6.16.12 @ 4:11PM

Sure he's a criminal. If you think the criminal activity will end with him you're delusional. They are ALL criminals running the most successful criminal enterprise in human history: government.

Oldefarte| 6.16.12 @ 5:15PM

Do away with government....suits me...so much the better!!!!!!!11

Mimi | 6.16.12 @ 7:34PM

Boy Quin, This is the most I've seen your dander up ! So have many others...thru-out the web. The word IMPEACH is being used more than Ive ever seen.
I think we have reached a boiling point with these outrages, security leaks, campaign slips..now this
acting like "KING DICTATOR"....God help us....is he losing it? How can he possibly think he can get away with this ? The Republicans better rise to the challenge on this ....this has the people up in arms...as bad as it gets!

Alice Moore| 6.18.12 @ 9:43AM

Mimi, as was said earlier; we have a better tool. That will be 11/06/12.

Impeachment would be a gift to the current occupant. The action is legal. However, it will be perceived by independents as an extreme action.

The eyes must be kept on the prize. Victory in November.

Oldefarte| 6.18.12 @ 10:07AM

AMEN.....and it's called '''''WORKING (OR VOTING) S-M-A-R-T''''''' !!!!!!!!!

FeFe| 6.17.12 @ 3:55AM

"Slowly I turned...step by step...inch by inch..." your statist master behind celebrity flesh seeks revenge and approaches the stunned onlooker that is Republican leadership. Liberalism is over? Someone forgot to tell the lawyers, pal. From January 2009 until now, they built the platform, owned personnel is policy, then gave the nod for Obama to activate. (Not bad. Can NGO status be far behind?) http://www.supportkind.org/

Now comes program hyper-drive: children in school (or register for school because everyone is "trafficked") come forward and flood the court system for citizenship, and family reunification. Simple. (Their concerted effort that Guatemalans are returned to the lifestyle they have become accustomed too is a nice touch, no?)

Did you see Romney's on camera response outside his corn pone bus? Rubio's in jeopardy of being drowned. At least Mitt didn't look around when he froze upon discovering the bus door locked a la GWBush in Beijing.

Sometimes I think the GOP-E get off on the pain.

ObamarStomper| 6.17.12 @ 11:06AM

Obama is ruling as a TYRANT. When the majority of the people fail to agree with their "ruler" tryanny is manifest! This is MOST CERTAINLY the course on which Obama has chosen to steer the nation. Obama has illustrated that he no longer will live by the rule of law, nor the US Constitution. He has thumbed his nose at the Constitution and essentially does as he pleases. We already HAVE a Constitutional Crisis at hand. Were a Republican president to dictate law around the congress, the DEMAND for IMPEACHMENT and REMOVAL and possibly PRISON would sound througout the land! Obama, however, has his PROPAGANDA allies (the MSM) who prop him up and keep the lid on any protest. What protest they do report on is skewed as "reactionary" or "Tea Party extremist." We have the MOST CORRUPT renegade president EVER to occupy the Oval Office. We're SCREWED. Obama has the power and he isn't going to give it up peacefully. He very well may visit CIVIL WAR against our people. He certainly is indifferent to any logical objections to his lawlessness. Torches and Pitchforks may be in the offing and then, EVERYONE loses.

RCV| 6.17.12 @ 2:00PM
