One other thought on President Obama’s election-year amnesty by executive fiat: while this announcement was made with politics in mind, it isn’t actually a new administration policy. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano informed Senate Democrats of this shift in a letter last August. I wrote about it for Chronicles last year, in addition to some mentions I made on this site:

In an August 18 letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and 21 other Democratic senators, Napolitano acknowledged that removing people from the country simply for being illegal immigrants was no longer an “enforcement priority” of the Obama administration….

Napolitano also indicated that federal immigration authorities aren’t going to do anything about illegal immigrants who would have benefited from the DREAM Act (Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors), a targeted amnesty that according to one estimate would have legalized 1.3 million people (not counting the parents of those the bill would have amnestied).

Anybody who ever read the amnesty memos can’t be shocked.

The socialist way: Lie, cheat, steal, and win at all costs.

This just shows how the American political elite - Dems and Repubs are obsessed, that is, OBSESSED with continued mass immigration, especially of Latinos. Jorge & Jebby Bush, Barry Soetoro, Juan McAmnesty, etc., have all turned their backs on Americans and now devote much of their time to the concerns of foreigners, and lawbreakers to boot.

Even in a bad economy with high unemployment, the Beltway Elite are consumed with bringing the 3rd world here in every increasing numbers.

Can you say "Rome"?

Marco Rubio supports the President on this one--he only wishes he could have introduced it himself in the Senate.

I can't believe Conservative Inc will still be defending let alone promoting Rubio for VP after this Obama caper, but never underestimate the Stupid Party.

Here we thought we had relief from the daily Obama "OUTRAGES" while he was distracted on the campaign trail....shucks..now he's back carving up the Constitution into bits....Yo...You/hoo anybody seen a cop around...theres a lawbreaker loose!!!

AND..For every vote he thinks he'll get, he loses 3-4 votes from the BLACK and WHITE UN-EMPLOYED....+ they get more reasons listening to RUSH every day...in their spare time. Not to worry..just more DUMB STUFF as he appears to be trying his best to become un-employed himself!

It's not shocking that Obama always wanted this, but it is shocking at how blatantly he usurps the role of Congress. Just another step closer to dictatorship.

If giving out free smokes would get Obama re-elected, I could guarentee you that Obama would nationalize Big Tobacco send 10 cartons of free smokes with every tax return.

No, Not shocked...But Republican inaction can only be explained as they are in on the destuction of this country.
