Recapping last night’s results, there were no major Tea Party
victories in the big races. Jesse Kelly lost in the Arizona special
election. Bill Poliquin, arguably closest to a conservative
favorite, lost in Maine. George Allen is no moderate Republican,
but he faced a spirited challenge from a Tea Party activist who
ended up getting less than a quarter of the vote. Nothing really
for conservatives to be depressed about, but nothing to get excited
about either.
