CBN always does a great job with its nightly newscasts, thorough and insightful. For whatever reason, sometimes they like having me on. So there I was yesterday, trying to explain the significance of the debt crises in Europe and in Barack Obama’s America:

With unfunded liabilities exceeding an estimated $60 trillion to $120 trillion, the country is already bankrupt.

Oldefarte| 5.23.12 @ 2:18PM

Quin, Great interview! To me the country's debt is akin to a yearly accumulation of monthly account balances on a credit card. The monthly balance reprensents the defecit, which accumulates for say a year into a twelve months of defecits yearly balance which represents the debt. The essential point of this in governmentese is that when the capital/money is borrowed by the government, it equals the amount of available loan reserves that cannot be borrowed correspondingly by the private sector/businesses. Therefore, business expansion-increase is restricted due to this governmental borrowing/defecits/debt. Europe is tied into the world's economy, and if Greece, Spain, Italy, Portigal etc goes financially under and defaults on their issued bonds, it will not only effect the individual defaulting country but Europe and the U.S. as well, since banks in this country have financial tie-ins to Europeon bond purchases and financing. This Europeon austerity thing was being properly handled by Germany and France until the French overthrew Sarcozy and elected this Obama-like socialist Hollande, who is talking about the need for Europeon countries in financial trouble to spend more governmental money instead of less, which will simply increase the defecit/debt of the effected countries. What is needed is exactly what Merchle of Germany and Sarcozy of France were demanding of Greece, etc; but now all of that has exploded with Sarcozy's defeat. If this country re-elects Obama and more Democrats, this country will follow Europe down the financial toilet bowl within three years, period!!!!!!!!

PS: No disrespect, but you need to dis the beard [I know it's popular with the Hollywood crowd], but to some of us it reminds of UBL and the Muslim Brotherhood......sorry, just telling the truth!!!

LiveFreeOrDie| 5.23.12 @ 3:20PM

No disrespect but that was rather odd. Sometimes it's good to hesitate right before clicking submit. Who looks at a beard and ponders UBL?? Weird.

Oldefarte| 5.23.12 @ 4:39PM

No it is not odd. If you look at the typical Hollywood male actor and collectively at their awards ceremonies, 99% of them don a beard [which is representative of Muslim terrorists in general and IMHO why so many of today's male youth are being brainwashed into this non-shaven look]. I welcome contrasting opinions, but to me it's not very CLEAN appearing and if I were an employer interviewing a prospective jo b applicant donning thsi scruggy look, I'd deep six the application of same]. A male beard can be [if properly shaven and neatly trimmed] considered handsome in appearance, but when it appears scruffy and unkept, it does resemble the UBL-Muslim terrorist look.........SORRY FOR THE TRUTH!!!!

Oldefarte| 5.23.12 @ 4:55PM

PS: My longtime experience of observations of various male facial hair style changes throughout lifetime tend to suspect that some men desire to grow same due to a lack of HAIR UPON THE TOPS OF THEIR HEADS. There's an old joke based on one observing a truly bald-headed male and thereafter proclaiming that HE [OBSERVER]HAS MORE HAIR ON HIS ARS THAN THE BALD-HEADED MAN HAS ON HIS HEAD!!!!!!!

LiveFreeOrDie| 5.25.12 @ 12:07AM

Sorry, I thought he looked fine and spoke well. Wasn't bothered by the beard at all.

Oldefarte| 5.23.12 @ 5:22PM

'.....Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him ordered Muslims to grow beards, because he didn't want them to look like the Pagans. It was important back then for Muslims to look different than the Pagans for both security and cultural reasons. By making it easier for Muslims to distinguish each others easily, it would certainly enforce safety and security among them. Also, by making Muslims be different than everyone else, it would certainly help them to give up their old Pagan traditions that they were raised with, especially when they're different than everyone else. ........'

'......MoneynewsExperts: European Crisis Could Sink Obama’s Re-election Campaign Wednesday, May 23, 2012 01:52 PMBy: Dan Weil Europe’s financial crisis may end the political careers of more than just European leaders. It could play a major role in booting President Barack Obama from office too, experts say."An acute U.S. economic shock that comes out of Europe has a clear negative implication for the re-election of the president," Sean West, director of U.S. political risk coverage at Eurasia Group, tells CNNMoney.com.A European meltdown could hurt the U.S. economy in many ways. For example, it would almost certainly depress Europe’s demand for U.S. exports. It also could damage U.S. banks with exposure to European banks that may be frozen out of capital markets.Editor's Note: Economist Unapologetically Calls Out Bernanke, Obama for Mishandling Economy. See What They Did"It would be a very substantial shock if Europe fell into disarray," Campbell Harvey, an international business professor at Duke University, tells CNNMoney.com
And Obama will almost certainly take the blame for any slowdown in the U.S. economy, even if it is caused by external forces.
"The president is the single person who gets credit or blame based on economic performance," West says "It doesn't matter where it's coming from."Others too are concerned about the U.S. economy’s vulnerability to Europe.“If Greece leads to the contagion of Spain and Italy, the euro could implode,” Uri Dadush, former World Bank economic policy chief, tells MSNBC. “This is big business for the United States. We're talking trillions of dollars in direct and indirect exposure to the European banking sector." ........'

It is unfortunate that Media & Team Obama are not doing a better job at pointing Blame at job stagnation where it really lies, at the feet of the GOP-Congress.

There are three good books out that lay out how GOP have obstructed job growth in the U.S., so as to try and defeat Pres. Obama. First, they had to get the Congress, and they did, by making healthcare a boogeyman. Then they refused to pass Jobs & Transporation Bills currently lingering in Congress. They furthered weakned the economy last year with the debt debauchle, which sent us backwards; Joined with Congress are GOP Governors who have refused to take Stimulus and create infra-structure jobs or high-speed rail. And there are many more bills that in the Senate which are filibustered. This is treaonous to the American people infilitrated by the "enemy within".

If Pres. Obama had had a Democratic Congress, job growth would have been much further along and steady. We see what he can do when not Obstructed like right the ship as in Auto Industry, get Bin Ladin. He is trying to make it so Rich people pay their faire share. But money talks and it is hard to overcome the entrenched greed and power of those corporations who lobby and buy off politicians.

Oldefarte| 5.24.12 @ 11:12AM

angellight, you're simply FOS, and obviously a USJD political operative for this administration. The Republicans DO NOT CONTROL THIS GOVERNMENT, DEMOCRATS DO [both the executive and legislative branches/Senate, whereas the Republicans only control the House]. Obama [ie WELFARE] care does represent a substantial increase in required governmental spending and as such a huge increase in the governmental budget and debt [30 million new beneficiaries of healtcare is why]. The 'jobs and transportation' bills that you referred to was supposed to be accompolished by Obama's/Democrats' UN-STIMULUS bill which was PASSED and did abasolutely NOTHING to bring down unemployment and no transportation [shovel-ready?] jobs were implemented as a result of same. The only thing the un-stimulus did was become a political PAY-OFF for the labor unions in Detroit to save their automotive jobs from disappearing and to other labor unionized governmental employees [teachers, state workers etc] who received the bulk of the un-stimulus money [and the shovel ready jobs were a complete fiction by this lying POTUS]. Your 'high speed rail' is more BS, since this country does not need nor want same. what is needed instead is less expensive energy/gasoline to run our economy, by your socialit friends have prevented that due to being in bed with environmentalists while we'lre paying $4/gallon for gas. As to your 'rich people pay their fair share' this is also typical lies by you Democruds since the welathy alread pay 40% of the income ect taxes that are now paid and therefore financially support the rest of you loafing, lazy bastards. Obviously you're not only 'angelLIGHT' but also light-between-the-ears!!!!!!!!
