I missed it, but on Thursday night our friend Scott McKay at the Hayride (Louisiana) had a far better post on the Rev. Wright controversy than I just did a little while ago. Mixing McKay’s excerpts from a Jeffrey Kuhner column with mcKay’s own comments, here are some essentials:
Dr. Eric Whitaker, a close Obama friend, sent an email proposing $150,000 to muzzle the pastor; Mr. Wright says he refused. (The Obama administration recently awarded a $6 million grant to the University of Chicago Medical Center’s Urban Health Initiative. Who runs the initiative? You guessed it: Dr. Whitaker.) …. Not to mention that Eric Whitaker, who is Obama’s buddy, might have to explain under oath how, as a bigwig atop the food chain at the University of Chicago Medical Center, the hospital ended up paying Michelle Obama some $316,000 a year for a job that they did away with after she left. Yes, you read that right. He might also talk about how that was around the time the hospital was looking for congressional earmark money for a new pavilion (Michelle’s husband was a U.S. Senator at the time), and didn’t get it – which was around when her salary started getting cut. She said, of course, that she was cutting her hours after Obama started his run for president, but again, she wasn’t replaced.
Ahh, Chicago Democratic politics! Gotta love them! Tony Rezko, anybody? Remember how poor widdle Barry Obama just wasn’t paying close enough attention to how Rezko was helping them? And now Barry is a $10 million man, even though he claims he was still struggling to pay off student loans until eight years ago. Right…. Or should I say, Wright?

Generating a net worth of $10M is quite an accomplishment, particularly factoring in the Obama family's expensive tastes, e.g. vacations. We know what his salary is as President. How much has he made in royalties for his two books? Is there any other source of legitimate income that he has which would build a $10M net worth?

Particularly since nobody actually seems to have read his books, and his supporters seem so surprised to hear him in his own voice in the audio book versions (I believe he won a Grammy for one) describing his occasional dog diet or little girl bullying habits.

We paid and continue to pay for his vacations, golf games and expensive dinners and parties. And once he get kicked out of office he will make 20 million writing a book about how he was voted out of office because he is black.
Look at Bubba and Hillary. They have made a fortune with their silly books, and the Bubba Library.

The obama's aren't going away, even after they leave office. From here on out, everything they'll do will be "historic", e.g., the First Black EX-President of the United States; The First Black Dynasty in the United States; The First Black EX-President to become UN General Secretary; The First Black President to Have a Wife as a Senator; ...The First Black Ex President to Ever Become the Commissioner of the NBA...on....and...on...it...will...go!!

...and if (God Willing) he is defeated this November, he will remain on the horizon as eligible for a second term in the style of Grover Cleveland, or perhaps a first term as President of Kenya (something even G.C. couldn't have pulled off).

I disagree with Mr. Lord's premise. Everybody KNOWS who Jeremiah Wright is. Unless you live in a Cave, or spend all of your nights, tied up in a Bar called The Man Cave (Hat Tip Alan Brooks) you know who Jeremiah Wright is. He is NOTHING MORE, than a DISTRACTION, and one that David Axelrod is more than happy, to see back on the Burner.
How are things in this Country, these Days? How's the Economy? How's the Housing Market, the Job Situation, the REAL Unemployment Numbers?
Are houses still being Foreclosed? What about Bankruptcies? How many Americans are out of work? How many are living at, or BELOW the Poverty Rate? Has our Credit Rating been Raised, or LOWERED?
Did he look the American People in the eye, and PROMISE them $800 Billion worth of Shovel Ready Infrastructure Jobs? Did he, INSTEAD, use that Money - OUR MONEY - to keep his Public Sector Union Stormtroopers on the Job, and still paying Dues that end up in His Coffers? Did he give BILLION$ of that money - OUR MONEY - to HIS Campaign Contributors, and HIS "Bundlers" in the form of Government Subsidies, for their "Shell" Companies?
Did he REFUSE the Keystone Pipeline, and the Thousands of "Shovel Ready Jobs" it would provide?
Is he keeping his Promise, to BANKRUPT the Coal Industry? Is he keeping his Promise to "Necessarily cause Electric Rates to SKYROCKET"? Has he had an ILLEGAL Drilling Moratorium in place, for the last 3 Years, or not?
Does he attack the People who Create the Jobs, in this Country? How many Companies are sitting on Hundreds of Billion$, buying their time, till he's gone? How many Companies have LEFT this Country, because of his Incessant Regulatory Barrages, his Multitude of Unfunded Mandates, and his Imperial Marxist Overreach, in his Quest to control every aspect of The Means of Production?
What do we have to look FOREWARD to, from a guy who thinks that borrowing his New Political Slogan - FOREWARD - from the most prolific MASS MURDERER of his own people, of the 20th Century, (MAO TSE DUNG) is a good idea?
All of that, and you wanna talk about some Jive Ass, shucking and jiving, Buckwheat looking, dime a dozen, run of the Mill, Street Hustling, Al Sharpton wannabe?
He's a Tar Baby in the Briar Patch. He's a Judas Goat. He's a Trojan Horse, and you wanna bring him inside the Walls.

And since you bring up Tony Rezko , mb someone might look into where he got his money . That trail , my friends , leads back to a 'shadowy' Middle Eastern arms dealer Nadhmi Auchi ,convicted of securities fraud in France and now denied entry into the UK as a conduit of hot drug money . Not too put too fine a point on it , put every stone one turns over in Obama's past opens a snake pit of corruption and tainted money .

Isn't this the same Chicago hospital that started ripping off the indigent or shewing them away? Seems I remember some rather heavy-hitting TV journalism pieces on this hospital. That it became known in the black community in Chicago as a "very unfriendly" place to be a patient -- all occuring during the time of the Obama's association there, i.e. Michelle Obama's employment there.

Wait, am I missing something here. Mooch's salary was increased substantially when Barry became a mover/shaker in Chicago. Duh? IMHO, this thing goes back further than this, and again I'd love to know the source of funding for his expensive college education tuition [or does an unemployed white mother from Kansas miraculously have manna from heaven bestowed upon her simply do to her birthing of THE ONE?]. Where is the campaign financing coming from in such large amounts for him.....from the African American community? Hollywood, yes; but no longer the business community [the fat-cat bankers are banrolling Romney now]......possibly from ME oil sheiks or what about Iran, Egypt etc???????
