It has been widely expected for some time that Israelis would be going to the polls this September. Yesterday morning, Prime Minister Netanyahu put forth a proposal to dissolve the Knesset. But less than 24 hours later, Netanyahu forged an agreement with Shaul Mofaz, the new leader of the official opposition Kadima Party to form a national unity government.

Mofaz unseated Tzipi Livni as Kadima leader in late March and Livni subsequently resigned from the Knesset. I suspect this was Mofaz’s idea. Kadima would have likely lost seats in the fall so they stood everything to gain by this deal. It also strengthens Netanyahu’s hand and makes him less reliant on the smaller, religious parties in the Knesset and gives his policies more legitimacy inside Israel. Although this basically means the election will be in 2013 after all.

You know, your socialist ramblings are really wearing thin. If you hate capitalism, and hate Christians and Jews, that's your right. But can't you go somewhere else. The former Soviet Union would be a good place. How about it Moscow Clint?

" Ex-Israeli officials criticize Netanyahu’s bellicose stance on Iran

The former head of Israel’s Shin Bet security agency has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak for adopting a bellicose stance on Iran, according to the Haaretz daily.

Yuval Diskin, who was speaking at a public meeting in Beit-ul-Moqaddas (Jerusalem) on Friday, said Israel’s political leaders are exaggerating the effectiveness of a possible military attack on Iran, AP reported.

“I don’t have faith in the current leadership of Israel…,” he stated.

“I do not believe in a leadership that makes decisions based on Messianic feelings,” Diskin added.

Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan backed Diskin on Sunday, saying that he disagrees with Netanyahu’s policy on solving Iran’s issue, according to Haaretz.

He also called a strike against Iran’s nuclear program “stupid”, AP reported.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said at a conference hosted by the Jerusalem Post in New York on Sunday that he is against an attack on Iran, criticizing Netanyahu’s policy on Iran, Bloomberg reported.

In addition, Israel’s military chief Lieutenant General Benny Gantz, in an interview with Haaretz published on April 25, said that he does not believe Iran will decide to develop nuclear weapons, describing the country’s leadership as “very rational”.

“I think the Iranian leadership is comprised of very rational people,” Gantz stated."

Bibi is the enemy of all sane and peace loving people. He is evil personified. His old man who just pasted to hell last week, at the age of 102, was aa vicous racist. He thought that Israel was entitled to piece. He wanted big pieces of Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt and of course all of Palistine. He didn't care what happens to all the tens of millions of people who happen to live there. The son has similar or worse messianic delusions. That is why many in the Israeli military and security services are speaking out against this unstable person.

Israel is not worth and never has been worth one drop of American blood or one American dollar. No one spoke out more forcefully about the evils of apartheid in South Africa and segregation in the USA then the Jews of those country's. It is time to practice what you used to preach. Integrate Israel now, with full and equal civil, religious, and human rights for all the residents of old Palistine, Muslim, Jew, and Christian. Let Israel be light to the nations instead of leading to darkness and evil.

Oops! I forgot to put in a big piece of Syria as well. Blessed are the peacemakers. Those who live by the sword will die by the sword. The Book of Leviticus tells Jews. To love your neighbor as yourselves. It also say for Jews to treat the aliens among you as you do yourselves. The truth will set you free. Shalom.

Do you guys say all that "peace" stuff before or after you cut an infidel's head off?
Just wondering.

What does the word Natanyahu mean?
Gift from God. Don't think God is having a hand in world? There are clues, but the dumb and blind refuse to see.

our future is written in the book of Revelations.

The coalition actually portends well for all. It reduces the reliance the Israeli government presently has on the right wing pro-settler minor parties, and frees their hand in dealing with the Palestinians on that issue. A wise move by both Kadima and Likud.
