Check out this article in the National Post written by Hillel Neuer, the Executive Director of UN Watch which is a NGO based in Geneva.

Despite the fact there is a food and water shortage in Syria, Olivier de Schutter, the UN Special Rapporteur on Food, will be turning his attention to Canada. Beginning tomorrow, de Schutter will be north of the border for 11 days to promote the right to food for all Canadians. You know the UN has its priorities backwards if it’s more concerned about access to food in Halifax than in Hama.

As a recent headline notes the UN wishes to have the US return land to the Indian tribes (and presumably Canada could have to do the same), perhaps the article in question is just early.

Let's start by giving back Manhattan, specifically, the part of Manhattan where the UN is located.

I propose that the headquarters of the U.N. always be located in the country of the elected Secretary-General until his or her term is over at which time it would be moved to the country of the newly elected Secretary General.

We should start action to move it to South Korea forthwith and with force if necessary. It will stay there at least until 12/31/2015.

Yes, lets make sure the have enough back bacon and potatoes for those french fries with cheese and mayonaisse (what do they call that in Quebec?).

Don't forget the donuts, eh?

This is like the endless "ads" on tv and radio, asking for donations for "the hungry" in the USA. Wheer are these starving people in our country? Most everyone I see is overweight.

It's just exaggerating a small problem or no problem at all, in order to procure more "funding".
