Get mad about this DA:
'........ by AWR Hawkins 1 day ago...In my post yesterday, I made the point that 80% of the funds that went to Wisconsin from President Obama’s 2009 stimulus package were dumped into the coffers of public unions. That means unions received $600 million of the $701 million in funding that was sent under the guise of saving that state from catastrophe. The problem is, the only thing it saved were the Democrat dominated unions. Moreover, those unions, with their pockets lined from Obama, are now using millions of those dollars to try to oust Gov. Scott Walker from office.Doesn’t it push the very boundaries of legality for Obama to confiscate the people’s money through taxes then pass that money to unions so they can use it to war against Republicans?
Of course the money is not simply flowing to the unions in Wisconsin. As I mentioned yesterday, it went to unions in Detroit and, truth be told, to unions throughout the country. In fact, even though the American people were told the stimulus bill would save states that had been hurt by the recession, “states with higher bankruptcy, foreclosure, and unemployment rates got less money” that states with a large number of citizens who were union members
This is why Rush Limbaugh referred to the stimulus bill as “nothing more than a money laundering slush fund.” And it’s a slush fund where a large “percentage [of the money] just goes right back to the Democrat party.”
It’s bad enough that Obama is pushing for higher taxes, and that many of the Democrats join him in this endeavor. But it goes from bad to outrageous when you stop and think about what Obama is really doing: that he’s taking money from those who earn it and giving it to unions—literally lining the pockets of these unions—so that they can flex their financial muscles for the Democrat party.......'

'......Newsmax....Author Geert Wilders: No Difference Between Islam, Radical Islam
Friday, May 4, 2012 05:29 PM
By: Henry J. Reske and Kathleen Walter
Controversial Dutch politician and author Geert Wilders is speaking out against Islam, but unlike most Westerners he does not draw a distinction between Islam and radical Islam, but claims that they are the same.Wilders is a member of the Dutch parliament and founder of the Party for Freedom. He said outspokenness about Islam has taken a toll on his life. He has been threatened with death, been taken court, and been banned from other European countries.“Anybody who dares to speak out against this ideology called Islam will pay a heavy price,” he in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV. “I lived with my wife for six months in a prison cell for security reasons. We didn’t commit any crime. We lived in army barracks and safe houses. I always say if I spoke up, which I’m not planning to do, but just for argument’s sake, if I spoke out against Christianity, all those things would not have happened. We use the pen and, unfortunately, they use the ax.”.....Wilders is a controversial critic of Islam, campaigning against what he sees as the "Islamisation of the Netherlands." He has compared the Quran to Hitler’s Mein Kampf, and has called for the book to be banned. He also advocates ending immigration from Muslim countries.Wilders was banned from entering Britain for nine months in 2009; the ban was overturned in October 2009 after he appealed. In June 2011, he was acquitted of hate charges. The author of “Marked for Death: Islam’s War Against the West and Me” said that Islam, “at the end of the day, will cost us our freedom, our freedom of speech.”“I acknowledge the fact that the majority of the Muslims are law-abiding people,” he noted. “It would be ridiculous to even suggest that the majority of the Muslims are terrorists. They are not. There is only one Islam; this is the Islam of the holy book the Quran and the Islam of the prophet Mohammed. It’s not so much a religion, it’s an ideology.“It’s an ideology that should be compared not with Christianity or Judaism, but with communism or with fascism. Let me give you one example: If you want to leave Islam ... the penalty for that is death. You have to be killed. This is not the case with Christianity or with Judaism. But it was the case in Nazi Germany or with Communist Russia. You have to see Islam for what it is because if we don’t, we will lose our free, Christian-based society.”Wilders said that Islam has spread throughout Europe and led to honor killings, genital mutilation, and Sharia courts, aided by the “disease called cultural relativism.” He said that all cultures are not equal.“In my book, I tell the American public, Europe is in very, very bad shape today and please don’t think that what’s happening to Europe today will not happen to America tomorrow,” he said. “It will happen to America tomorrow unless you fight for freedom, you fight for your own identity and you cut back on the Islamization of our society.”One key bulwark in the fight against Islam is Israel.“I know that we should all support the state of Israel,” Wilders said. “Israel is fighting our fight. Israel is exactly on the border of Jihad and reason and Israel is a beacon of light, a canary in a coal mine, so to say, in an area of darkness and tyranny. I believe that parents in America and Europe can sleep easily at night because Israeli parents lay awake at night worrying about their children defending our borders. The border of Jihad is our border.“We share the same cultural values as Israel does. If Jerusalem falls, Athens will fall, Amsterdam will fall, and America will fall as well. They are fighting our fight. We should do anything possible to support the state of Israel. Certainly against this barbaric regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”............'

When a Muslim land is occupied, jihad becomes an individual duty”Al-Futouh is currently polling second in the presidential race. Hamadein Sabahi, a former journalist, helped found the Al-Karama party, and was elected to parliament in the 2000 and 2005 elections. He stated in 2005: “When a weapon is pointed at the Americans, it is good. Any weapon that kills an American is good. Any gun pointed at the Marines is good. Any kidnapping or slaughtering of an American in Iraq is good . . . One must salute this organization [Al-Qaeda] when it kills any American soldiers – a soldier, not a civilian. The presence of Al-Qaeda in Iraq as part of the resistance is a positive phenomenon that should be supported. I support Al-Qaeda when it kills Americans.” This is the face of the Arab Spring. " Ex-Israeli officials criticize Netanyahu’s bellicose stance on Iran
The former head of Israel’s Shin Bet security agency has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak for adopting a bellicose stance on Iran, according to the Haaretz daily.
Yuval Diskin, who was speaking at a public meeting in Beit-ul-Moqaddas (Jerusalem) on Friday, said Israel’s political leaders are exaggerating the effectiveness of a possible military attack on Iran, AP reported.
“I don’t have faith in the current leadership of Israel…,” he stated.
“I do not believe in a leadership that makes decisions based on Messianic feelings,” Diskin added.
Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan backed Diskin on Sunday, saying that he disagrees with Netanyahu’s policy on solving Iran’s issue, according to Haaretz.
He also called a strike against Iran’s nuclear program “stupid”, AP reported.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said at a conference hosted by the Jerusalem Post in New York on Sunday that he is against an attack on Iran, criticizing Netanyahu’s policy on Iran, Bloomberg reported.
In addition, Israel’s military chief Lieutenant General Benny Gantz, in an interview with Haaretz published on April 25, said that he does not believe Iran will decide to develop nuclear weapons, describing the country’s leadership as “very rational”.
“I think the Iranian leadership is comprised of very rational people,” Gantz stated."

" TAMPA, April 7, 2012 – GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney continues to win primaries and Ron Paul still won’t go away.
Part of the reason is that the Paul campaign understands the primary process and knows a little history. Romney’s support is lukewarm, while Paul’s actual delegate total is dramatically understated.
As Robert Wenzel points out, Paul is a lot like Warren Harding. Harding went into the brokered 1920 convention with only 6% of the delegates, but emerged as the party’s nominee. Harding won the general election in a landslide and took a very non-interventionist approach to the Depression of 1921.
Free market economists cite Harding’s refusal to intervene in that crisis for the quick recovery that followed. "

Paul an elder statesman? ROTFL. Paul is a clown, a loon widely mocked by the American people, and also a traitor who belongs in jail. He is not a statesman, let alone elder statesman, by any defition of the term. That's an honor that has to be earned, and Paul has done nothing to earn it.
"He untangles the complex ideological web Paul occupies, understanding Paul's libertarian roots and his place in traditional, Old Right conservatism."
Ron Paul has no place in the traditional, Old Right conservative spectrum and has never had one for the simple reason that he is not, has never been, and will never be a conservative.
Ron Paul is a strident liberal with libertarian roots who professes liberal positions on the vast majority of issues. These include, but are not limited to, tons of pork, pumping further billions of dollars into already-bloated entitlements, appeasement of America's enemies, blaming Israel for the ME's ills, supporting Hamas and Iran against Israel (Paul has even done an interview with Iranian TV blaming Israel while exonerating Hamas), legalizing drugs, supporting abortion and gay marriage state-by-state (and denying unborn children the 14th Amendment's protection), saying he wouldn't intervene during WW2 to stop the Holocaust, blaming America for 9/11 (which Doherty and Antle also apparently blame on the US), and supporting the ultraliberal Cynthia McKinney over John McCain, Chuck Baldwin, and even Libertarian Nominee Bob Barr in 2008.
But Paul's most significant transgression against conservatism - and one which, by itself, utterly disproves any claim that he's a "traditional Old Right" conservative - is his strident opposition to a strong defense. It also utterly refutes his pretensions to be a "constitutionalist" or a "constitutional conservative", because the Constitution REQUIRES providing for a defense strong enough to protect the country.
Defendng America means defending it EFFECTIVELY, since an ineffective defense would be pointless. Nowadays, defending America requires fending off threats as far away from the homeland, as close to these threats, and as soon as possible. If China carries out its threats and starts an expansionist binge, or North Korea perpetrates aggression against its southern neighbor again, it is far better and far effective to stop them early in Eastern Asia, rather than ignoring such threats and hoping the crocodile won’t come to eat the United States. Isolationism did not work even during the early years of the Republic and it won’t work now. Paul's fantasy that threats to America are limited to America’s borders and anything outside America’s borders is not a threat of the US (ever heard of ICBMs, ASAT weapons, cyberweapons, IRBMs, bombers, and SSBNs, Congressman? No? Thought so.) is ludicrous and wrong. As proven by the 1930s.
The US should not involve itself in wars and other crises unless the US national interest demands that, but the brutal truth – which Ron Paul and his isolationist minions don’t want to face – is that SOMETIMES the national interest DOES demand that. Sometimes it is necessary to intervene.
What is relevant to “the US national interest”? Anything that would have a significant material impact on the security, strength, and/or the prosperity of the United States. That means not only physical threats to the US and its citizens, but also threats to the freedom of navigation on sealanes (on which American trade, and the US economy, are totally dependent), and flight in air, the security of the world’s mineral resources (not merely, but particularly, oil), and the security of key allies such as Britain, France, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, who are important military AND economic partners. Because the world’s economies are so interdependent today, any aggression against these countries would have huge repercussions not just for their economies but for America’s economy as well. At the same time, of course, these countries must take lead responsibility for their own defense.
But even if one were to believe Paul that nothing outside America’s borders is a threat to America and that the US should adopt a strictly “defensive” and neutral posture, that still doesn’t help you: Ron Paul is adamantly opposed even to that. He has repeatedly tried, together with the most stridently liberal Democrats in Congress, to deeply cut and thus gut America’s defense by deeply cutting not just the defense budget but the number of troops, the force structure, equipment stocks, procurement and R&D programs, and the US nuclear deterrent. He’s a fanatical supporter of sequestration, which will make even more drastic cuts than what Paul, Frank, and Wyden proposed in 2010. He has even voted to cut funding for the Ground Based Interceptor program, which is based exclusively in, and defends exclusively, the United States (and not any allies).
He has repeatedly voted and proposed to deeply cut America’s own defense, even programs with purely DEFENSIVE purposes, such as the GBI program!
That's right, Paul is adamantly opposed to America defending its own soil against ICBM attack.
And someone who opposes a strong defense and supports deep defense cuts - let alone ones as deep as the ones that Paul supports - is no more a conservative than someone who supports socialized medicine or massive tax hikes. Such a person is not a conservative, but a strident liberal; a wolf in sheep's clothing.
No matter how hard you, Antle, and your beloved Congressman and your fellow paulbots try to remold the conservative ideology, supporting a strong national defense, and therefore robust funding for it, is an irremovable tenet of it, and to be a conservative, one MUST support a strong defense and oppose defense cuts (at minimum, deep ones).
So your whole argument has been debunked, which renders the rest of your screed moot.
As for your claim that Ron Paul and his supporters are changing the GOP - don't celebrate yet. We shall see. But if you and your fellow paulbots take over the GOP, you will also kill it and be running a carcass. That's because a libertarian GOP remolded in Ron Paul's image will be a tiny minority party appealing to no one except the libertarian fringe of the American political spectrum. In other words, it will guarantee that every future presidential and Congressional election, not to mention statewide and local elections, is won by the Democrats. Indeed, if I were a Democrat, I would be cheering Ron Paul on and praying that he does succeed in remolding the GOP in his image.

Zbigniew Mazurak | 5.6.12 @ 7:47AM
No, it is not. My idea of a conservative is one who provides for the national defense of the United States - the troops, weapons, bases, industry, technology, and know-how needed to protect this country - but does NOT involve the country in "endless wars in the Middle East". You are the disgrace here, not me.
William R| 5.6.12 @ 11:33AM
You're as phony as a three bill. A strong national defense wouldn't be worrying about borders in Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and Poland. A strong defense would be protecting the United States border. As former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Adm. Michael Mullen said, our biggest national security threat is our debt. And we're never going to get the budget under control without big cuts in the Pentagon.
You're a blithering idiot.

Ronald Reagan,
" If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals–if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.
Now, I can’t say that I will agree with all the things that the present group who call themselves Libertarians in the sense of a party say, because I think that like in any political movement there are shades, and there are libertarians who are almost over at the point of wanting no government at all or anarchy. I believe there are legitimate government functions. There is a legitimate need in an orderly society for some government to maintain freedom or we will have tyranny by individuals. The strongest man on the block will run the neighborhood. We have government to insure that we don’t each one of us have to carry a club to defend ourselves. But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are traveling the same path."

Well, Aaron, I believe that Ron Paul has had the opposite effect -- that is to make the Republican Party move more strongly to the extreme religious right. He provides a foil to define Republican conservative principles whether it is military, fiscal, or on immigration. His longer term effect will not be to expand the party, but to make it smaller as those of his more libertarian followers find there is no place for their thinking in the party. As soon as he goes -- and he is not getting any younger -- we'll see a lot of his younger supporters move Democrat as being libertarian on social issues is a tenet of Democrats.
But the main reason you cannot take him seriously is that in this age of Photoshopped stars, he doesn't have the personal "heft" to be seen as an executive or a leader -- i.e., he doesn't look or sound "Presidential". In addition, he has won no statewide elections or had any executive experience.
To be honest, I agree more with him on issues than Romney, especially in the areas of use of the military and getting the government out of our personal lives, but he is your crazy uncle -- not a realistic candidate.
aware| 5.5.12 @ 2:31PM
Democrats are certainly NOT libertarian on "social issues" or anything else. First you claim his supporters will become Democrats, then in the next paragraph you cite the main problem you have with him, i.e. he "doesn't look right". Maybe "conservatives" need a "clean and articulate" demagogue like the Dems have, huh? He sure "looks" good and speaks good.
Forget the issues, he doesn't "look" right. What a way to pick "leaders". Proving, as I have said, we are freaking doomed. See its not enough that a nation survive, it must be worthy of survival.
The Liberty movement, which Paul is integral in expanding, is just in infancy. It is even now working at the local and state level. Whether you agree with it or not, it offers the first chance in a century of a real alternative to the rampant Statism controlling both wings of the Uniparty.
Or maybe you like the rotten soft fascism of State control of all aspects of the economy and society. If so you have 2 fine representatives, as usual, to pick from in November. Either of them might make "adjustments" to corruption, but they sure won't end it.
fiscal| 5.5.12 @ 2:51PM
I do agree on your statement that Democrats are not extreme libertarian on social issues, but they are certainly more libertarian than Republicans who want to have limits on abortion, drugs, and immigration -- and that's my point.
And I didn't say it bothered me that he doesn't "look" right -- but it does bother the majority of voters who vote more on image than issues. That's why we generally have tall, good looking guys as President. I certainly would wish people would pay attention to the issues instead of image -- but alas, they don't.
With regards to the "liberty movement". I don't see it going anyplace because the Libertarian platform is just too extreme. That's too bad, because the majority of Americans are fiscally conservative and socially moderate -- and that's why independents outnumber either Democrats or Republicans. Most people don't want an extreme of individual liberty because they are tied to Social Security, Medicare, and the military. As long as we spend most of our budget on those items, liberty will lose.
Clint| 5.5.12 @ 3:49PM

'.....A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Paul is a graduate of Gettysburg College and Duke University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He served as a medical officer in the United States Air Force from 1963 until 1968. He worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist from the 1960s to the 1980s, delivering more than 4,000 babies....'

Romney was earning the income to pay the taxes to financially support the career governmental FLIGHT SURGEONS' salaries, that's what! You don't think that all them illegitimates that he OBGYN-birthed were paying taxes to support his governmetal salary do you?????

Fiscal, a good reply that I only have 1 tiny quibble with. Of course, I come from a former conservative now completely anachro-capitalist point of view but can easily talk to paleos and Old Right proponents. We are not that far apart.
The Liberty movement I refer to has absolutely nothing to do with the Libertarian Party. It is too early to think of it in a party way. The idea of liberty is firing the passion just as it did with our far more radical founders(if we look at the truth, they'd be arrested today for sedition and waterboarded).
The enemy of liberty is, and has always been, the State, which is the instrument of coercing the individual to the will of the collective. Anything that adds to the power of the State, no matter how seemingly innocent or "necessary" diminishes liberty for the individual.
Liberty is finite, unlike wealth, more cannot be "created". That some liberty must be sacrificed for the best society should make it a more serious thing to do so, as taking money out of savings is, the "funds" are limited.
Many are questioning the mirage of "We the People" are the "government" now. More than ever in my life. Who can say where it will lead. I remember how Goldwater was as ridiculed and marginalized as Paul. The same establishment was in control then as now. Even Reagan was ridiculed and undermined by his own team(for instance is VP).
While I know it isn't news to you that the people distrust "government" in the US(formally America) but what you should be aware of, and worry about, is that the "government" doesn't trust the people. They are capable of far worse things than just voting you out of office.

" Dr. Ron Paul served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon for several years (1963-1965). While in the air force, Paul reached the rank of Captain. Directly after his service in the air force, Paul worked again as a flight surgeon for the United States Air National Guard (1965-1968).
" Paul served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960s, spending time on the ground in countries like Ethiopia, Iran, Pakistan, South Korea, and Turkey. He also sits on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs."

All you need to really know is "Voluntaryist" Ron Paul is the only "GOP" candidate who has joined Comrade Barry in stating on video that the Constitution has not worked and never will. In the same video, posted by his supporters over at the Liber-tarian von Mises Institute, Paul also calls for abolishing the military and Constitution...
