Current TV (co-owned by Al Gore) has
dismissed Keith Olbermann after less than a year on the air.
Olbermann has been replaced by former New York Governor (and former
CNN Host) Eliot Spitzer. I guess Rick Sanchez wasn’t
available.
Olbermann has already announced his intention to bring legal
action against Current TV. Discontent between Olbermann
and Gore
surfaced in January over coverage of the Iowa GOP Caucuses.
The question is where will he end up?
I think there are three possible choices he could land:
1. The MLB Network - Olbermann does know his
baseball. It’s one thing for him to make a guest appearance on
Clubhouse Confidential but giving him a program would be
too much to bear. Even I might have to give up watching the MLB
Network if they bring him in. Me giving up watching baseball
programming? I shudder to think.
2. The Golf Channel - Although I’m sure he
would find a way to tee them off.
3. Al Jazeera English - I think he might find a
home with them. But if he runs afoul of them they’ll flog him
instead of firing him. Or they could just assign them to their
bureau in Zimbabwe.

How about the circus? When you can't cut it a network that hires Al Sharpton, and at another network that nobody watches, then the circus is definitely worth considering. Hey, everybody, come see a washed-up, formerly famous, arrogant, condescending, broadcaster, who was a legend in his own mind! Al Jazeera wouldn't have him - they're not biased enough!

Latest intel from the U.S. Coast Guard is that the coconut the professor left behind on Gilligan's Island is still up and running. But to date, it's still just an urban island rumor. Last time anything was heard on THAT frequency, the Skipper had a show promoting time shares, and Ginger was selling Thigh Masters on the all night show.
Hey, now that Ginger's gone, maybe Olberman could ...

The Professor's PhD was from TCU.
Why that is on my alma mater's wiki, I do not know. Of course, Ben Murphy's character who is an expert welder on MST3K's Riding With Death (co-starring Jim Stafford---yeah, the one in Branson) had a Harvard JD, just like Obama.

Regarding item three on your list, I have recently learned the Al Jazzeera has a sport channel. So he could combine his twin loves of sports and hating America. I learned of this channel via a post from someone on website for satellite TV called Satellite guys. http://www.satelliteguys.us/ The people who run this site seem to be concerned about offending certain sensibilities because shortly after someone posted an inquiry about the channel and where it might be offered I posted a reply inquiring as to the channels offerings, inquiring specifically about camel racing and buzkashi, my post was deleted along with subsequent inquiries asking why.

What about camel beauty contests? (I am NOT MAKING THIS UP.) They, at least, do not need to wear a burqa.

How long before we hear that Current TV is being sold, or going out of business? What will Al Gore do now? Keith Olberdouche was the only "slightly" interesting thing on that stupid channel to begin with, and now he's gone!! Do you actually think people want to watch Client-#9 over Keith Olberschmuck? If Keith didn't work out, then Elliot isn't either!! Hey, maybe Oprah can hire him now that Rosie's gone, and her OWN channel's going under too!! Or maybe Rosie and Keith can start, and finance their own show, that nobody watches, which will completely bankrupt them in the end!! This is also known as a Win-Win for everybody (except for Keith and Rosie, but who gives a sh*t about them anyway?)!!

Rosie and Keith could call it "Fat and Grumpy."

Forget MLB Network; he'll just drag down their current hosts and their ratings. It'd be Football Night in America in 2009 all over again. That's why he was off that show. How many viewers would have tuned in to see Tony Dungy, but wouldn't with Olbermann on there with him.
Bob Grant| 3.31.12 @ 11:33AM
Aaron, the fact that you're commenting on this clown is disappointing.
He's a narcissist and ego maniac and feeds on attention - good or bad.
He simply needs to be tossed to the curb and forgotten about like yesterday's trash.
Or, in Windows-ese, lets click his icon and slowly drag and drop him in the Recycle Bin... collectively.
A Random Friar| 3.31.12 @ 11:42AM
I feel for him. I don't like his histrionic attacks, but part of me senses that he is a very intelligent man in many ways, but whose own personal demons have put him on the path of anger, bile and self-destruction.

I agree Friar. Jesus Christ can change Mr. Olbermann's life through the power of God for the better. I will pray for him & will not waste time hating him which is against God's commandments. Everything is possible with God.

I really despise Eliot Spitzer and I think it was a disgrace that he wasn't prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
That being said, I saw that CNN (or wherever it was) show he had with Kathleen Parker (it was she, no?) a couple of times. I thought he was pretty good. Surprisingly good.
But, he should still be in prison right now.

It can engage in national building. This is conservative or not?"
