The New Black Panther Party is offering a bounty for the “capture” of George Zimmerman, the man who fatally shot Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida last month. The bounty was orignally reported at $10,000.
But Mikhail Muhammad, the southern regional leader of the Panthers, upped the ante to an anticipated $1 million, which he says “will come from the black community [including] athletes and entertainers.”

More of Muhammad’s incendiary remarks:
“We’re going to force our government to do their job properly. And if they don’t, we will.”
“White America, we have given you 400 years to get it right, and you still have failed black people…we must declare to white America, time is up for you. No longer can you kill black children and get away with it…”
While there may indeed be legitimate complaints against the Sanford, FL police department’s history when it comes to prosecutions (or the lack thereof) of violent crime against blacks. Nevertheless, Muhammad’s words sound more like murder for hire than trying to “capture” someone, not that the Panthers have any place telling people to go capture anybody.
Someone should make clear to Mr. Muhammad that he will likely go to prison if someone acts on his exhortation, whether or not the Panthers actually pays the bounty, and that the penalty for hiring a hit man can be death.
On the other hand, Muhammad may not feel any fear of prosecution. And, frighteningly, he might be right, given that we have a federal Department of Justice which turns a blind eye to criminal acts by this particular group because the Attorney General believes, as Christian Adams has explained, that “there’s a common cause that bonds the black United States attorney with the black criminal…”

The same way that standing in front of a Voting Place, dressed in Military Fatigues and Combat Boots, Brandishing Night Sticks, and Threatening White Voters as they come up to Vote, is not a problem.

It took some guts to bring this up. It will take even more to bring up the hispanic/latino issue hiding here. Everybody is running away from this in this election year.
It's seems to be alright as long as it appears to be a white on black incident. Calls for prosecuting Zimmerman for violating Martin's civil rights are filling the air waves. But Zimmerman can claim minority status too. His mother is Latina. I learned this by listening to an obscure local talk show in PA.

This is only the second brief mention of the Trayvon Martin case in The American Spectator. There are NO articles that suggest there is anything wrong with Martin being killed and the case not investigated by local police.

Like Rahm Emanuel said, never let a good crisis go to waste, even if that crisis has been fabricated from the shooting death of one teen in one city that's not even known for race problems, a shooting that is obviously an isolated incident but which the mainstream media is using to push the idea of a race war on the black community so that the black community comes out in support of Obama.
What incentive does The American Spectator have to contribute to the media sector? Any and all coverage and publicity only benefit Obama. And the coverage which doesn't, such as this bounty offered by the New Black Panthers, gets swept under the rug.

This 'kid' or 'boy' was only a football player, 200 lbs and, 6.2'. I'd say, him pummeling Zimmerman caused lots of damage.
Good thing is, Zimmerman adoptive father is a retired Judge and, not so easily intimidated; obama should have kept his racist mouth shut; there are enough sharpton, jackson, farrakhans and, black panthers bringing on the 'race riots' as per obamas election strategy; he won't go without burning America to the ground.

If the black community allows this bounty to be collected, then race relations will have been set back decades, on their part. Long gone are the days when Dr. King peacefully protested what were real injustices. Today, vigilantes and grandstanders, like the New Black Panthers and Sharpton, spit on the memory of Dr. King. The black community needs to wake up and realize they are being manipulated and used.

The reason the state and the Feds are investigating the Trayvon Martin case is because local law enforcement authorities refused to do so.
A child being suspended for tardiness in no way justifies a vigilante shooting him dead.
Long before George Zimmerman killed this boy, the Republican Party had the support of between two and three percent of black voters, the lowest in history. Clearly, the GOP's alienation of African-Americans has nothing to do with the Martin tragedy.

You are so uninformed. The police DID investigate! That is why Zimmerman was not charged. There is a witness that saw everything and CORROBORATES Zimmerman's story. The witness states that the cries for help on the 911 call come from Zimmerman. The "kid" was 6'3" 175, not a frail waif as portrayed in the government run media. Zimmerman, according to the witness was on his BACK getting beaten up by Martin.
BTW, the GOP has NOTHING to do with this case. I will refrain from calling names, even though it is tempting.

AP article this AM in my morning paper by Curt Anderson, AP Legal Affairs Writer headlined " U.S. could bring hate charge in Fla. teen shooting." It is based on something Zimmerman "muttered" under his breath "that some listeners say sounds like a racial slur."
There is a brief mention that Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is Hispanic.
I would speculate that if a "Hate Crime" charge is filed against Zimmerman it will be the first time in the history of that law's sorry existence that one was filed against a non-white.

The coroner's report describes Trayvon Martin as 6" and 140 pounds. In other words, a teen who was getting tall but remained as skinny as a beanpole. George Zimmerman, a convicted felon who previously assaulted a police officer, weighs at least 100 pounds more. Efforts to transform Martin into a monster by lying about his appearance will not be successful.
