At CFIF,
I write about the left’s effort to undermine ballot integrity,
and on a new initiative led by Ed Meese, Ken Blackwell and Linda
Chavez to fight back. With reference to Eric Holder’s Justice
Department intervening to block photo-ID laws in Texas and South
Carolina, among other actions by the left, Meese’s money quote is
here:
“I am always suspicious of the motives of those people who
object to preserving the integrity of the ballot box,” said Meese
in an interview with me the day before the launch of
ProtectYourVote.us. “In practice there is no evidence that [a
photo-ID requirement] does suppress the vote of any group of
people; and all these laws make ample provision for ways in which
people can obtain photo IDs in case they don’t already have one. In
light of all this, the action of the administration is very
surprising.”
One of my takeaways:
In a close election, it is important that the leader of the free
world not be seated due to phantom votes in the names of people who
have died or moved, or who aren’t even citizens.
This is important stuff. All credit to the organizers of the
initiative being announced today, along with the good people at
True the Vote, and along with warriors for the cause of ballot
integrity such as whistleblower J. Christian Adams and the Heritage
Foundation’s Hans von Spakovsky.

If you're not smart enough to get an ID, or to bring your ID with you when you go to vote, than you're not smart enough to vote, period!! Be that White, Black, Brown, Yellow, or Red CommieDemocrat!! Get an ID, register to vote, and then you can vote!! Is that simple enough for you, Stupid? You need one to drive, to smoke, to drink, hell I've even been proofed to mail something out at FedEx, it's not a big deal at all. Unless of course, you're not a Citizen, or you're dead and still want to vote from the grave!! Democrats, can live with them, can't live with them!!
Oldefarte| 3.22.12 @ 1:17PM
Hell, I proudly bring forth my driver's license even though not being asked for same when writing checks etc. [since I have nothing to hide]!!!!

Amen! As Rick Perry indicated today on Fox, this DofJ lawsuit against Texas [and similar ones against other states with PhotoID laws] is purely partisaned and obnoxiously political. The liberals and Democrats are only trying to cover up their fraudently political operations in initiating Democrat candidates using dead people [which they also are fighting to keep and not have purged on the voting registers/rolls]. It's all the typical sleezy community organizing tactics of the Democratic Party to sway elections in their favor. It's amazing and ludicrous that these same righteous and indignant holier-than-thou partisaned pigs scream bloody murder over the previous Jim Crow southern voting practices of poll taxes and voting tests [and their additional insistance of the Voting Rights Act maintenance upon southern states now] when they are corruptingly using their street thuggish tactics of fighting Photo ID enactments in these states. When will Americans wake up to the sleezball community organizing storm trooping maneuvers of the Democratic Party? Let me repeat for the thousandth time......IT'S THE DEMOCRATS, STUPIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering that Democrats wrote and enforced the Jim Crow laws, it is astonishing that they can refer to those laws without blushing.
Projecting as always, they probably assume we have the same intent.

Two of my former colleagues, one from Romania and the other from South Korea, were surprised when they were told that they did not need to show their driver's license in order to vote. "How do they know its me?" and "What prevents someone from voting in my name?" they asked.
Requiring voters to present personal identification is a modest, fair-minded requirement. A purported democracy without an honest election process lacks legitimacy. Our election process has purposely been made vulnerable to vote fraud. It needs to be reformed at once. Foot-dragging on this issue is no longer tolerable.

If Obama doesn't have to show his I.D. to BE president, why should anyone have to show theirs to VOTE for President?
Just sayin'

But he finally [after Trump's investigation] did so by producing his DOCTORED Hawaiian birth certificate, remember?????????

Good afternoon, Oldefarte. What could be the single most important constitutional crisis in history is being completely ignored by the conservative media. Every alphabet network who belittled and mocked the "birthers" could instantly become IRRELEVANT if the allegations are true. Too bad the Spectator writers are more interested in "winning" the next election. Constitution be damned as long as an "R" can be the next POTUS.
Every single time a politician gets away with ignoring the rule of law it sets a PERMANENT precedent. From that very moment EVERY politician will repeat it with impunity. It's now or NEVER. The time to correct illegal actions and fraud is and always has been RIGHT NOW!

It is never right not on to act on principle when you can, for tomorrow may be too late. For those who decry principled action in favor of strategy and tactics, I say to you: You are hiding behind a shield to cover your lack of fortitude and character -- and bear responsibility along with your Commie colleagues in our nation's now imminent collapse.
Republican Party, are you listening to me??

Live: Your point is well taken and true. I would be partially satisfied with simply having access to his college/law school term papers, thesis etc. I'm hopeful that Braitbart.com will follow through on their now deceased founder's proclamation of publishing the material from supposedly his Harvard days between now and November which will no doubt be enlightening and hopefully descriptive of his true and non-disguised philosophy!!!!
