Shocking news:
Former presidential candidate John Edwards today denied a report
saying he was a client of a prostitution ring in New York City.
“Mr. Edwards categorically denies that he was involved with any
prostitute or service,” said Allison Van Laningham, a lawyer for
Edwards. “These allegations are false, defamatory, and he puts
those who would publish or repeat them on notice that they acting
with actual malice by reporting or repeating them. He has demanded
a complete retraction from the only source being quoted.”
Edwards’ name surfaced in a story by DNA Info, a website about
New York crime news. The story says a woman who worked for Anna
Gristina, the accused “Millionaire Madam,” told investigators that
she was paid to have sex with Edwards in 2007 during his second bid
for the White House. The story is based on unnamed sources.
Well, I certainly can’t think of any reason to believe a report
about a sexual indiscretion by John Edwards. It’s not as if he’s
ever been caught in a lie about something like this before, is
it?
Edwards, the 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee, is
awaiting trial on federal charges that he broke campaign finance
laws to shield his affair with campaign videographer Rielle
Hunter.
Oh, right. There was that business.

That's the progressive line. Deny, lie, spin and obfuscate right up until the verdict. There will be plenty of time to own up and apologize before sentencing. There is no honor. There is no integrity.

Mr. Tabin: Elsewhere on these pages we have an essay on the role of gossip in modern political life. Well this gossip about an old hasbeen is not very enlightening to the discussion of current problems.

"I did not have sex with that woman."
It's a Democratic male mantra.

If Hillary had said the converse, would that have helped her seal up the LGBT vote in 2008 and changed the course of history?

Lie, deny, obfuscate, distract, and then patently and strongely state the nonfacts. Like I did not have sex with that woman.....

He was married to a harpy, so if he indulged some high priced call girl, -- few men would fault him.......
There's a host of reasons to unload on John Edwards, but that he ran around on that woman he was married to isn't one of 'em.
Why didn't he just divorce her?
There's not an extended family untouched by divorce, ----- the stigma is gone. He just have dumped her, ------- even the threat to dump her might have ameliorated her behavior.
Whatever.

It's this attitude that's causing the cultural decay plaguing America. You have a severe lack of integrity if you think there's any reason that can justify infidelity. If "few men" would fault him the lack of integrity is a national emergency.
And you can't really fault her if she was a "harpy". The poor woman was suffering from cancer. But instead of supporting his wife to the end, the coward ran away from his problems. "Whatever" is not the attitude you take with a man who could have been vice president.

This scumbag just keeps digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself.

That famous Democrat Larry Flynnt vouches for Edwards. Will be on call for a charactor witness at any time. So will Woody Harrelson, maybe even Tom Hanks.
