The House Ways and Means Committee has approved legislation that
would repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), the
group of 15 unelected bureaucrats who will make decisions rationing
care for seniors under the federal health care law. IPAB rationing
is in large part what Obamacare relies upon to achieve its alleged
savings.
“Repealing the Independent Payment Advisory Board is critical to
ensuring that seniors never have to face the waiting lists and
rationed care that have affected other nations who have gone down
the misguided path of bureaucratic medicine,” House Budget
Committee Chairman Paul Ryan said in a statement. But Ryan
maintained full Obamacare repeal was the only way forward on
free-market health care reform.

I don't know who it was, but someone said "nickel-dime-ing" the repeal of OBAMACARE is going to hurt us in the long run. We will be left with emotionally wonderful, but economically unsustainable things such as the "pre-existing conditions" rider.

Mike

Well, I just now noticed. Mr. Antle, has the title above the blogspots on the right-hand side of the home page always read "The SPECTACLE Blog?"
W. James Antle III | 3.8.12 @ 3:16PM
No, that was a title change made late last year. Before that, it was always just "AmSpec Blog."

I agree with Mike3 on the idea of little nicks of the blade vs. repealing the entire monstrosity. However the timing of this is delicious. I heard that there was a growing angst on the Hill over this from the usual suspects, perhaps this will detract the chattering class from the contraception fabrication. Something has to and our side doesn't seem interested in ignoring it.

I don't think this is going to hurt the GOP like Mike3/505 thinks. Democrats have to be forced to vote on some of these nickel-dime things, if only to remind people that the Democrats are NOT for people, jobs, or economic growth in this country, they are for retaining their power over one-sixth of the American economy.

kill the 'death panels' now, and wait for the SCOTUS to kill the 'death star' later this year
