Who needs another carpetbagger Senator? You may be able to alight in NY for a few seconds and win, but will people in the heartland fall for it?

Thanks for the good news. May he and his liberal friends be swamped in November.

I don't think hanging out in NY running the New School for a decade or so is going to help his standing in Nebraska. On the other hand, there's alot of time between now and election day.

Bush beat John Kerry by 35 points in 2004; when Nebraska figures out that Bob Kerrey is a different Senator, the gap will close a bit.
Democracy--yikes.

Liberals don't play well in Ogallalla or Cozad.

I used to almost like and respect Bob Kerrey until his 1993 speech before casting his vote for the Clinton budget and their tax increases. I generally only tolerate long-winded sanctimony when you vote the correct way.

The poll results aren't that surprising given the fact that he's made his home in New York for the last ten years.

Expected Kerrey to start from behind, just not quite that far behind. But with Obama at the top of the ticket, it's hard to see any Dem winning Nebraska this year. Especially a Democrat who barely knows his way around the state any more.
