No, he didn't. But he was clearly someone who loved stirring up controversy to put himself in the limelight. Breitbart loved saying outrageous things to draw attention to himself and if he ruined someone's life in the process, he didn't care. If he'd been a liberal, you'd think he was a scumbag. I feel bad for the man's family-43 is far too young to die. But pretending to be outraged that someone would say something mildly provocative about the death of a professional provocateur is ridiculous.

The only, minor, quibble I have with this post is that Mr. Hillyer uses far too polite a word to describe Yglesias. But that's Quin, polite to a fault. His prescription, too, is too gentle. Such people should be shunned from decent society, not merely fired.

Iglesias is jealous that people recognized Andrew Breitbart as a leader in the conservative movement, and had a major impact on the MSM, dating back to his days at Drudge. Meanwhile, most of us have never heard of Iglesias. So Matt, GFYS, no one else is interested.

Yes, well, Lefties like Iglesias are quite sure that dead opponents leave the world better off, that's why the Left is so into killing off opponents. Meanwhile, for a guy whose name means "churches" he sure doesn't seem to follow the precepts of any -- don't speak ill of the dead so soon after the demise.

Those who spit on and lie about you while you live won't change course after you die. If it thickens your skin to their insults to learn this from Breitbart's passing, then count the lesson among the man's gifts to you.
Parallels with Ted Kennedy are weakened thus: Brietbart didn't lie about him, didn't have to lie about him to despise him, or to justify despising him.

Matthew Yglesias is just a little man propagandized in the liberal tradition. As far as Ted kennedy, he and his brothers were just a bunch of lowlifes aspiring to make their lowlife father happy. Rape, murder, alcoholism, drug addicts, politicians. Ted committed murder and got away with it. Andrew was just thowing the excrement back at them and they can't take it. There time is coming to and end and they are acting out.
