In the most shocking news of the day, conservative new media
superstar Andrew Breitbart has died “unexpectedly of natural
causes” at the age of 43.
Brietbart’s web
site has posted a statement:
With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing
of Andrew Breitbart.
Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly
after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.
We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear
friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.
Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to
live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed
us how to love.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous
Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love
having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the
Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding
allies, and-famously-I enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked
to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would
be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in.
I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds,
thousands-who knows?-of allies. At the end of the day, I can look
at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.
Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of
us.

Rest in Peace, Andrew. You & your work will be missed. G*d bless the Breitbart family at this time of loss.
Thank you for making us all more aware, Mr. Breitbart. Knowledge is, indeed, power. And your work empowered many.
It is, indeed, a sad day.

I'm still stunned at the news. It's difficult to believe he's gone.

Just thinking of him recently, wondering about the films he was about to release...he spoke not long ago of having dinner with Bill Ayers...terrible news, horrific implications...

Few men have contributed so much at 43. If we all were as "Bold" as Andrew Breitbart, the world would be a far better place.
Rest in Peace
May His blessings be upon the Breitbart family. May his friends carry on his Boldness with renewed vigor.

Lost a real soldier. Worth more than Limbaugh or any of the stae talk show motor mouths.

Really, really shocking. I remember meeting him last year when he attended a Pro-Scott Walker rally. A really good guy and a true patriot.

Mr. Breitbart was a man who made a difference in the life of his country and in the lives of millions of people.
He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers, and no doubt in the thoughts and prayers of many others.
R.I.P. Andrew Breitbart.

How sure are we about the natural causes?
Juanita Del Rey| 3.1.12 @ 10:50AM
I heard cocaine was involved, post-mortem should verify
Screwtape| 3.1.12 @ 11:09AM
“Have you kicked your cocaine habit?”
“I have no cocaine habit,” Breitbart told him.

One of the pioneers in exposing media bias. A great website. He seemed like a decent guy. Prayers to him, his family, and friends.
Rest in peace.

Andrew Breitbart was a great man who died before he could reach the full potential of his greatness. He will be missed.

"Now he can Blog for the Devil."
Why? If he does, then YOU'LL have to sign up for your 99 weeks of unemployment, putz.

Only a month after having dinner at the home of Ayers and Dohrn, committed terrorists.

I just hope they do a thorough autopsy. It will be instructive to learn how one dies unexpectedly at 43 of natural causes.

too coincidental after his CPAC announcement that he has some Obama videos to share ...
Tina B| 3.1.12 @ 1:47PM
My first thoughts upon hearing the news of the death of this gutsy patriot was suspicion. I dispelled this notion quickly, was I theorizing a conspiracy?
Now I read of his dinner with the Ayres and about possible upcoming videos/tapes and I am suspicious again, even more so. Is this what it's coming down to?

He may very well be Obama's first "Vince Foster."
I may be wrong. I PRAY I'm wrong. But wouldn't be surprised.

NO, OBAMA HAD 2 PRIOR VINCE FOSTERS. NUMBER 1 WAS DONALD YOUNG, CHOIR DIRECTOR AT REV WRIGHTS CHURCH WITH WHOM OBAMA WAS INTIMATELY INVOLVED BUT WAS KILLED OFF DURING THE 2008 ELECTION SEASON IN CHICAGO. NUMBER 2 IS OBAMA'S GRANDMOTHER WHO WAS KILLED OFF 2 DAYS AFTER OBAMA WON THE ELECTION. PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS HAD GONE OUT TO HAWAII TO INTERVIEW HER ABOUT THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH. SHE KNEW TOO MUCH. THE OBAMAS DUMPED HER ASHES INTO THE OCEAN WITHIN 2 DAYS OF HER DEATH, AND THEN FLEW BACK TO CHICAGO.

Of course that is how you're going to go, but we can only hope it is ASAP. Keep up the bad work asshat.
