Mr. Antle:
I have trouble grasping why the GOP should care who the voters in states which will not deliver electoral votes to their nominee in any event may think should be the nominee. States that are in play like FL, VA, NC and Ohio matter but those like CA, NY, NJ and so on have no relevance to the ability of a GOP nominee to win a general election. Why should unreliabe electoral states choose the Republican candidate?

Mr. Adab,
I have always wondered the same thing...while I definitely don't see much of a way around it...it does kind of suck that so many states that contribute nothing get a voice.
It actually makes you wonder if it would be better for the Repubs to start totally pulling out of those states that never go our way and completely polarizing the states....It would increase the quality of life for us when we tended to live in strictly conservative states after a few years...while also giving clear and stark contrasts between successfully run and prosperous red states...vs. the California's, Illinois', and Michigan's who live in perpetual misery and nanny statehood...
Hmm..
