The Michigan primary will obviously be fairly important to the GOP primary race. A Mitt Romney win will give him another shot at establishing “inevitability,” an elusive quality for him in this race. A Rick Santorum victory will weaken Romney heading into Super Tuesday and likely give his own campaign a fresh infusion of cash, helping to neutralize one of Romney’s key advantages.

The Michigan contest figures to be close. The early exit poll results, which are all we have to go on at the moment (the polls haven’t even closed yet), show the state being too close to call. So far only one Michigan primary voter in ten identifies as a Democrat.

I expect Romney to win Arizona by double digits.

There could be nothing worse than a Romney nomination

spike59| 2.29.12 @ 6:36AM

except a santorum nomination, a gingrich nomination, or a paul nomination

A Romney-Santorum Ticket Would Be About As Faux Conservative As A McCain-Specter Ticket.

What about the invincible Deabornistan campaigning Ron Paul? Paul's campaign would get gut stomped in a brokered convention because he is a scumbag.

You're hateful. What is wrong with you?

Clint| 2.28.12 @ 8:50PM

Apparently, He's Insane.

Your comments have been getting a little weak lately there, Clint the Whanker!

Are you sitting back and wondering how you are going to accept "RINO-CINO Bund Buffoon Romney" when he picks Ron or Rand Paul to be his NUMBER ONE STOOGE???

HAA!!!!!!

If politics were a wind...you would break it.

Mittens is gonna lose his 'Home' state, better load one of the Caddies.

ayrnieu| 2.28.12 @ 10:20PM

68% reporting and Romney's still in the lead with 5%. I'd agree that that's a shamefully narrow gap. It means that the Romney campaign forgot about Santorum's passionate support for felon suffrage.

Anyway, you thought it'd be meaningful if Romney lost; do you think it as meaningful if he wins?

WL| 2.28.12 @ 10:54PM

Yeah it is actually does mean something ayrnieu..

It means that folk like you will never learn and we will lose to Democrats more often than not...because you just DO NOT GET IT.

Marco2| 2.28.12 @ 11:40PM

Mama mia, little Ricky has blown up! The only non-Romney still standing is Dr. Paul. Is it finally HIS time for a go?

Simon Templar| 2.28.12 @ 11:46PM

marco,

Well if blowing up is getting 38 percent of the vote compare to 12 percent than I will take it. You paulbots really are certifiable.

The way you make these snarky, deranged, and self promoting remarks is so liberal, the exact same shrill, immature, and delusional sounds I hear from liberal trolls here. Well, should I be surprised? It's political genetics; you share the same political DNA as your liberal progressive cousins.

ShortAnswersToSillyQuestions| 2.28.12 @ 11:50PM

No.

Clint| 2.29.12 @ 3:10AM

You Israel Firster Smear Bund Girls Are Scared Of Dr.Ron Paul.

spike59| 2.29.12 @ 6:40AM

spike59| 2.29.12 @ 6:37AM

Kingofthenet? perhaps
Kingofprediction? not so much

Simon Templar| 2.28.12 @ 11:40PM

It is not inevitable. That is clearer now then ever; the guy won his own home state by a hair, not an impressive showing but a sign of great weakness.
It really is amazing that we have to hear this shit from the likes of talking heads like this one when this has been the chant since Iowa, which he lost.
More than 4o states to go and it, folks, is inevitable. You know where you can stick your inevitable.

WL| 2.29.12 @ 12:39AM

I hope you are right Mr. Templar...

But my hope is fading like the "whisper that Rome once was...."

spike59| 2.29.12 @ 6:39AM

and yet, he's managed to amass more delegates (so far) than all the other candidates COMBINED

not my pick, but i don't see how any of the 'little 3' have a shot at beating him
