"We're not looking at the constitution in that aspect."
A perfect illustration of the difference between the left and the right in this country. The left believes that its policies supercede the constitution. The right believes in the constitution.

Have we reached the tipping point? We have been tipped like a sleeping cow and the butcher is standing over us with a freaking bone saw!
k. bourg| 2.27.12 @ 5:18PM
We don't need to spend any money producing campaign adds, we can just put this on the air. Oh., wait a minute, that won't work because we now have a majority of voters in this country who have been conditioned to value free hand outs over constitutional rights if they even know what a constitutional right is.

The concept that there is actually a Law that even they must live under is alien to the professional criminal class. What is causing a non compute brain freeze is the thought that something she and her important fellow criminals did could possibly be illegal. How could it even be questioned?
Nothing here I don't expect from a criminal gang.

This is another illustration of a lawless, dictatorial government. Unfortunately, Representative Hochul is not the only one who views that government, with her allies at the controls, can do whatever they want. Our Founders called such people tyrants. So should we. They have no place in constitutional, representative government.
Dr. X| 2.27.12 @ 7:07PM
And you want to know something? Hochul is a MODERATE, SANE Democrat. Seriously. She represents a gerrymandered Republican district that she won when the Republican incumbent failed to keep his clothes on. She is an average, non-threatening political hack who actually did a fairly good job in local politics. That's why she won in a Republican district.
Furthermore, her husband is a U.S. attorney whose JOB is to defend the Constitution!!! He also has a reputation for being sane and competent.
The point is that if the (relatively) sane Democrats don't give a damn about the Constitution, how far gone do you the REAL lunatics in that party truly are??? Far, FAR worse than you can imagine!!!
Mike 3/505| 2.27.12 @ 9:04PM
Failure to revere the Constitution is just one of the faults here. She, along with the Liberal left are re-defining "rights." rights are something either given by our creator (unalienable) or something earned. The government in no respect is the giver of any sort of rights. That route leads to slavery.
PattyMor| 2.28.12 @ 6:10AM
Brutal honesty. But you can also throw the average Republican into the bunch. Only the conservatives defend the Constitution. Sad, but true. Most of the D's and R's have played the handout game for years. That's how we drove the country to bankruptcy.

imho, if you're in the Congress and are NOT 'looking to the Constitution', you need to be looking for another line of work-period.
