The Spectacle Blog

I recently posted about the flaws in some candidate ratings employed by conservative groups. Since then, the National Taxpayers Union has clarified some things about their ratings system and gently pushed back against the methodology employed in a recently Weekly Standard article (without, it should be noted, repudiating that methodology in every respect).

NTU even produced a handy-dandy chart assessing the remaining Republican presidential candidates who have served in Congress.

Guess Who?
voted for
1. Raising the debt ceiling 5 times
2. Planned Parenthood
3. Medicare Part D
4. NCLB
5. Bridge to nowhere
voted against
1. "Right-to-Work" law
Ans: Ricky "Keystone big-government pro-union RINO" Santorum
Considering Santorum's records in the senate, Santorum is the most overrated member in the congress during his tenure, and NTU's grading method is flawed.

Newt wants YOU to vote Santorum in Michigan (opinion)
