…. within the Justice Department. And at Walgreen’s. And at
other places where Jim Crow attitudes still abound.
This is an
absolutely classic column. Read it. Read it again. And then
email it to Eric Holder, so he can really fight the nation of
cowards who force people to show photo IDs.
Then again, maybe we shouldn’t hold Holder to any standards of
consistency and shouldn’t insist that he not be a hypocrite. Holder
is black, you see. That immunizes him from criticism. And we know
he’s black, because we can see his blackness on his photo ID.

There is so much hypocrisy in politics as illustrated by Deroy Murdock's article. I wonder how the DOJ position on voiding voter ID can withstand the laugh test. Another illustration of our government becoming grotesque.

You're right! That is classic!

we're in a nation where treating citizens of different races the same is now considered de facto 'racism'...that whirring sound you hear is MLK spinning in his grave

Hope you realize that the Deroy Murdock article was tongue-in-cheek! Why can't we get people like him to run for office?

Gee! If we did that and then followed up on it we would have to give up diversity in hiring and promotions and admission to Ivy League Colleges and Tenure and appointment to the Federal Judiciary and all that stuff that has made us the great force for freedom and democracy that we are today. Otherwise without a picture ID card how could we tell?

Racism, my ars! Photo ID's that are tamper proof shoud be issues by the government to every living breathing individual and required to be produced as ID proof at voting polls, transportation terminals, etc. Additionally illegal immigrants should be Classed as such on these cards and used to exclude illegals from obtaining free medical services at hospitals, prevent their receiving governmental benefits, etc. The one and only reason again that Democrats such as Holder, his boss, etc politically fight against such cards is that same would prevent illegal voting for Democrats and thus be detrimental to their welfare political party. As I've said....IT'S THE DEMOCRATS STUPIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: '....Pew: 1.8 M Dead Registered to Vote
Tuesday, February 14, 2012 07:00 AM
A new report says about 24 million voter registrations in the United States contain significant errors, showing the system is in shambles. The study released Tuesday by the Pew Center on the States found that about 1.8 million dead people are still on the rolls and 2.5 million can vote in more than one state.
And 51 million, or one in four, eligible citizens are not registered to vote at all.
About 12 million registrations contain address inaccuracies, which means mailings aren't getting to them. Researchers say they don't see evidence of widespread fraud but believe outdated state systems are failing to keep pace with changes in people's lives.
In conjunction with Pew's report, eight states said they are working this year on a centralized data system to help identify people whose registrations may be out of date. Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed says he thinks it will bring more trust and confidence to the election system.
Part of the problem, the center found was the costly paper systems used in the U.S. which costs 12 times more than Canada, which has paperless systems and costs just 35 cents to keep up a list in an election year. In contrast, most of Canada's citizens are registered to vote.
Pew recommends online registration.
“Voter registration is the gateway to participating in our democracy, but these antiquated, paper-based systems are plagued with errors and inefficiencies,” David Becker, director of Pew’s Election Initiatives, said in a statement. "These problems waste taxpayer dollars, undermine voter confidence, and fuel partisan disputes over the integrity of our elections.....'
