When Kelly Evans of The Wall Street Journal asked Mitt Romney if he was going to release his tax returns he should have said, “Should I become the party’s nominee, I will do so.” Instead he spent several minutes babbling before saying that candidates generally release their returns tax season.

If you ask Mitt Romney what time it is he would tell you who made the watch.

That's exactly what he should say, Aaron. Despite Romney's generally polished debate performances, lapses like these make one wonder about the thoroughness of his debate preparation and the quality of advice he's receiving.
