Not interested in what they say. I want a limited government president and Santorum's not it based on all his votes. While I respect him for his values, don't want him for president and my extended family living in Pa. will all be no votes for sure.

I agree that Santorum is not a limited government candidate and this year's selection is a major disappointment.
But on election day, I am going to be first in line to vote for whoever is the candidate against Obama. I hope you and your extended family will see a difference between 4 more years of Obama and whoever is the opposition candidate. Obama and his group have inflicted far too much damage on this country already to hope that four more years of destruction will wake people up to support the type of candidate that we both want.

It won't be enough to put him in the lead, however. I can't wait for Mitt to assail Obama on Obamacare and spell out the glaring differences on soundbites, and on any challenge Obama brings up. THAT is how confident I am.

Santorum not perfect, but he is the closest one out there to what Reagan called the 3-legged stool of conservatism (Social - Fiscal - National Security). All the rest have too much flip-flopping baggage and Ron Paul is pro-choice on all social issues as well as national security...

We already have a plethora of pols who tell us they are "pro-life" and then vote for taxpayer funding of abortions via ObamaCare, RomneyCare, and Planned Parenthood, etc. As if further proof were need, I will just point out that NO major Pro-Life group (nor Tea Party) has endorsed messiah Ron Paul. Paul has also voted for embryonic stem cell research...

Santorum can use all the help he can get. And Romney hardly looks like he needs an endorsement from those social-con guys. The latest round of SC polls show a big lead for Romney, with Santorum barely ahead of Paul for third place.

Romney's lead has exploded in SC in the past few days. I assume it's blowback from the anti-capitalist attacks. He now has a 13-point lead on Gingrich in the RCP average. If you look at the RCP graphs, Gingrich's support has cratered in the state. Just a month ago he looked like an easy winner in SC. Now he's way behind Romney and just a few points ahead of Santorum and Paul.
Sounding like Michael Moore is probably not a real good idea for a GOP primary in a conservative state.

Sorry, linked to the nationawide RCP average, where Romney has blown out to the 13-point lead over Gingrich. It's much closer in SC, but Romney still has the edge by five over Gingrich. Santorum and Paul are tied for third and well behind.
