That's an easy one, all of them except Paul. The others didn't even know there was a term "crony capitalistism" till 3 years ago. Here you would have been run off if you used the term during Bush the Lesser's term.
You'll find the usual cronies listed prominently on the campaign donor lists. http://www.opensecrets.org/pre.....cycle=2012
Kinda like having a stable of "horses" you run in the races. It's great sport for the cronies. And the payoff is always huge.

Thanks James. I have admired Tim Carney's work for many years. His insight on Newt is helpful for voters like me, trying to decide who is best. The following passage of his article is most interesting:
"While being paid by drug companies, Gingrich convinced Republican lawmakers to expand Medicare so that it would subsidize prescription drugs. While being paid by ethanol companies, Gingrich argued in favor of federal subsidies for ethanol. Also, while paid by government-sponsored, housing-bubble-inflator Freddie Mac, Gingrich lauded exactly this model of government-sponsored enterprises steering the economy. Gingrich made money by pushing for bigger government to benefit his clients."

No-It is Romney and his backers in the Establishment such as GWB and his Dad and if you look at the WSJ and FOX--boyo--you have lots of Crony Capitalists there too. Oh yes, Newt might or might not be --but its this whole group of Phony so called Conservatives.
somnolence| 1.12.12 @ 7:57AM
Gingrich was on Fox And Friends this morning. I'm convinced he has lost his mind.
somnolence| 1.12.12 @ 7:58AM
Yes, I agree. The Tea Party Rebellion IS digging its own grave.
somnolence| 1.12.12 @ 9:37AM
Jobs in every state lost WITHOUT BAIN, wow! I lost mine over 3 years ago at age 55, but I haven't gathered in one dime of unemployment, living on savings only. How am I able to do it? I've been planning for stuff like this since about 1973-74. Stop the damned whining.

"While being paid by drug companies, Gingrich convinced Republican lawmakers to expand Medicare so that it would subsidize prescription drugs."
If Newt is so effective that he single-handedly persuaded Congress, then he's the man we NEED in the Presidency to get things done. ;~} Carney condemns Gingrich as an extractor of wealth, but Romney fits the description to some extent as well. Makes little difference to me, however, since I'm backing Santorum.
