According to multiple reports on the ground in Iowa, Michele
Bachmann’s state chairman Kent Sorenson has endorsed Ron Paul just
hours after appearing at a Bachmann event. Sorenson described Paul
as the most conservative surviving top-tier candidate, praised his
opposition to military adventurism, and urged an enthusiastic rally
in Des Moines to help put Paul in the White House in 2012.
Bachmann won the Ames straw poll in August and at one point was
the frontrunner in Iowa. Her surge, powered by a strong debate
performance in New Hampshire, helped force fellow Minnesotan Tim
Pawlenty out of the presidential race. But she spent much of her
money trying to win Ames and lost momentum once Rick Perry jumped
in during her moment of triumph.
Bachmann never quite recovered even after Perry receded, but her
poll numbers did inch back up slightly once Herman Cain dropped
out. It’s a long shot given that she’s hovering around 10 percent
depending on the poll (CNN/Time had her at 9 percent
today) but she has been trying to beat Newt Gingrich, Perry, and
Rick Santorum for a third place showing in the caucuses to keep her
campaign alive.
UPDATE: The Bachmann camp is alleging Sorenson was in effect
bought off; the Paul campaign has denied the charge.

Ron Paul SuperPac Praises Rude Behavior Of Paul Supporters - Ron Paul must denounce this. http://ow.ly/8cBsv

Every one has had a rude or two supporter. I am not one, but probably would have been to Giulliani or Sean Hanity because both were rude to Ron, and he deserves respect. I wish you would watch a youtube of his speech tonight on C-span to honor veterans. You will see many who are not rude, and a President to vote for. My gosh, man, ALL Americans are rude and arrogant from time to time. Get a grip.

It is time for Rudy to take his dresses out of the closet and put them on and run for president again. He is the dream neocon candidate. He is a cross dressing, chicken hawk, who would get us in WW3 before he has a run in his stockings. Remember how Hannity would lick his rear end on his show. Rudy this and Rudy that. Well Rudy was the front runner with Hillary last time. What ever happened to them?

I think RuPaul's look is bright canary yellow with a Neon Pink stripe down the back with "go Manning" on it in Comic Sans. Goes well with the "F-Me Mahmoud" pumps he likes to wear.
Oh, sorry, that's not Ru-Paul---it's Clint.

OUCH! :-)

Mr. Sorensons endorsement speech was beautiful! He says one of the many reasons he is endorsing Paul is because of the media's treatment of Dr. Paul. It looks like the media's trick is backfiring on them. I guess the American people learned all the tricks of the media trade in 2008. Thanks MSM!

does this signal a sea change in the foreign policy of the right?
Clint| 12.28.11 @ 10:36PM
No Lester, It Signals Going Back To The Real Conservative Foreign Policy Of George Washington's Farewell Address, Thomas Jefferson's Inaugural Address, And The Old Right.
George Will, "Today, we have a very different kind of foreign policy. It’s called Wilsonian. And the premise of the Bush Doctrine is that America must spread democracy, because our national security depends upon it. And America can spread democracy. It knows how. It can engage in national building. This is conservative or not?"
William F. Buckley, " It’s not at all conservative. It’s anything but conservative. It’s not conservative at all, inasmuch as conservatism doesn’t invite unnecessary challenges. It insists on coming to terms with the world as it is …”

King: I don't normally agree with you, but if Paul wins, Obama gets a second term for sure. On that you and I completely agree.
What a worthless, despicable pig this man is.

Paul can beat Obama.
Bob Grant| 12.28.11 @ 11:24PM
Because we are living in end times it makes perfect sense for Ron Paul to win Iowa and perhaps the primary, thus guaranteeing an Obama blowout next fall.
If this clown gains any traction we are doomed.
I hope all of you Ron Paul supporters sleep well at night knowing you could be directly responsible for the dictator serving 4 more years. You people are no more conservative than Obama is. You are all crypto socialists and fascists and need to burn your libertarian card.
Officer Perez| 12.29.11 @ 12:06AM
@ Bob Grant:
Mmm.. great tactic. Lets guilt trip people into voting for unprincipled leadership and does not represent who we are.
You can vote for Romney and the other Neocons. That's your right.
As for me, I, as a Iraqi veteran, will vote for Ron Paul, so I do not end up in other phony wars wasting my life. Plus, smoking a little pot would be nice. That's just sweetens the deal for me.

Mr. Perez, I hope you recover from your TBI soon, and thanks for your service.
Sean| 12.28.11 @ 11:34PM
Actually most of us are conservative and we are supporting the most conservative candidate running. If you are looking to support a socialist or fascist you can look to Romney or Newt.
chuck| 12.29.11 @ 8:00AM
Could you explain exactly how Newt or Romney are socialists, or fascists? Do you even know the definition of the terms, or are you just throwing them out for the shock factor?
axbucxdu| 12.29.11 @ 12:00PM
Shock factor? Oh, you mean like racist and anti-semite? The ad hominem turbulence stirred by both sides is all very entertaining, but unconvincing.
Here's what convinces me. The USG, and by extension the U.S. taxpayer, is on the hook for more than 200T$ in unfunded liabilities. Simple adherence to the Constitution would cause these liabilities to be declared null and void. Of your choices, who will at least attempt, and I emphasize the word attempt, to follow the Constitution?
Alternately, when the going gets tough, who will say"Do it my way. Stop throwing the Constitution in my face, it's just a god damn piece of paper! ..."
C Bowen | 12.29.11 @ 6:39PM
Are you joking, chuck?
I mean it's a toss-up, socialist or fascist, to mention they both think you and I have to be required by law to purchase "health insurance" by a large company--but I think it's rather obvious they are on or the other, and politically, operate between the two points.
bluecollarbytes| 12.29.11 @ 7:36PM
Kent Sorenson switches from a conservative view of the world to a Paul who out-obamas Obama in the fringe loon view of international things and specifically on anti-Israel/USA, pro-terrorist-motives. Was this flake paying attention to Bachmann's world-view or is he ignoring Paul's?
