On Monday I will begin a new job at RealClearPolitics, meaning
that today is my last day at The American Spectator.
I would like to thank you, the readers, for supporting our work
and coming back to read us day after day. It’s been a privilege to
write about national politics for you, and am grateful for the
opportunity.
Speaking of which, I’d also like to thank the editors of The
American Spectator for giving me that opportunity. They took
me on when I was a week out of college, and badly ignorant of
politics and journalism. I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to get
a start in writing without their willingness to be patient with me.
In particular, I’m grateful to Wlady, with whom I spent many late
nights working on the magazine to make sure it went to the printer
on time — an experience that I’ll miss. You may or may not have
been aware of this, but any content you read in The American
Spectator or on Spectator.org ultimately reflects Wlady’s
handiwork.
If you would like to keep up with my work (please do!), I’ll
continue to be active
on twitter. You can also email me here. And I’m sure that my
byline will continue to pop up here at The Spectator from
time to time…

Best of luck with the new gig, Joe. I'm sure it will be a great experience and great exposure. Say hi to the Chicago crew for me.

Good Luck and Godspeed Mr. Lawler.
To quote the Coneheads::::
“He was one of the Greats.”
“He will be missed.”

The Spectator has been the best read I have found to keep with the political scene and I can thank you for making it that way along with all the rest of contributors and even the bloggers. Merry Christmas and good luck in your new endeavor.

How many careers has the great Wlady launched? He has built an impressive legacy during his outstanding service to TAS.
