I've softened my position on Romney in part because he is able to refer to opponents without the nastiness of some. (This means you, Michelle.) As Gingrich reveals himself more egocentric and grandiose it begins to appear that Romney is our practical choice, so long as he affiliates himself with a strongly conservative VP.
Bachmann is unsuitable for that post as she becomes increasingly desperate and less rational. Perry would, unfortunately but inevitably, earn comparison with Joe Biden due to his gaffes and intellectual weakness. Santorum is the best choice, with sound policy positions and more accomplishments in DC than anyone except Gingrich, and without the ethical questions or erratic behavior of The Newt.
