The Spectacle Blog

Today marks the release of AmSpec contributor Daniel J. Flynn's new book Blue Collar Intellectauls: When the Enlightened and Everyman Elevated America. Jeremy Lott reviewed the book for the main site and our Larry Thornberry has reviewed it in the Washington Times. You can get a preview of Dan's discussion of Eric Hoffer in his column about Obama's abandonment of the working-class whites who were once the Democratic Party's base.

Blue Collar Intellectuals is worth a read for the material on Ray Bradbury alone. Definitely a book for the Christmas list.

Clint and I are the great blue collar intellectuals of this forum. That is for damn sure. Old Erich Hoffer had nothing on us.
