Vague accusations are difficult to confirm, deny or explain. Now, with a report by Richard Pollock of PJM, the charges become specific:
Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time - mid-1990s - for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.
According to both sources, Mr. Cain and the woman had been with a large group for a long evening of food and drink at the Ciao Baby Cucina, a restaurant near NRA headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C. This was a normal routine, as the trade association worked with the food and beverage industry. Afterwards, Mr. Cain allegedly took the woman by taxi to his apartment, where she spent the night and woke up in his bed.
The female source told PJ Media that she witnessed the woman entering a taxi with Herman Cain.
Neither source has direct knowledge of what occurred at Mr. Cain’s residence, but several days after the alleged incident, the male source witnessed the woman returning to her workplace “distraught.” “She was very upset.”
I have contacted the Cain campaign to seek an official response.

Here's a query that hasn't been made.
Everyone is focusing on whether or not he's harassed.
But let's ask him this: Mr Cain, since you've been married, have you ever made a sexual overture to a woman other than your wife.
That should be revealing.
AND THAT would certainly throw some light on the issue before us.
And having seen Herm being asked simple questions, I've little doubt that such a curveball will register him as a strikeout.

This whole circus is maddening:
- None of the allegations against Cain, if true, were criminal in nature. We can't say the same regarding Clinton, Weiner, or Ted Kennedy.
- Both the sexual harassment allegations and the one-night-stand allegation occurred 12 years before Cain ran for public office. The indiscretions of Clinton, various Kennedys, Sanford, Weiner, etc. all happened while they were in office and in some instances while supposedly on public business.
Nothing Cain may have done rises to the level of misconduct exhibited by politicians still revered to this day. We are trying to elect a President, not a saint.
This whole shameful process pretty much answers the question why so many promising conservative candidates shy away from running for President.

Ridiculous to comment that because it wasn't illegal, it was ethical. Cain addicts seem to be just clapping their ears while they scream UHHWAAAWAAAWWAAAUHHHWAAAWAAA. The simple fact of the matter is that he has proven time and time again that he cannot control his tongue. His whole Iranian stance is beligerent, and his overall tone and respect for the political process is pathetic. If things don't go his way, he cries racism. If people don't agree with him and his philosophy, he calls them stupid. He basically tells our southern neighbor we will start killing your illegals once I am in office. I could go on and on. His 999 plan after being thoroughly vetted by people with a bit more than a calculator have found it an unfair tax. And yet, he says well my figures come out differently and so you gotta trust me. I find it ASTOUNDING that people can give him money. He keeps asking for trust when his credibility is in question. Trust me, even tough I am blatantly untrustworthy. Sorry, just because you ran a business well doesn't mean you have the political savvy to be president. We already have a community organizer doing a piss poor job. We don't need another committee maker who needs to have a filter placed on his mouth, and supersized mittens on his hands.
