What a crazy October. Three weeks ago, my roommate Christopher and I went to Walden Pond for a swim when temperatures reached the mid-80s.
Well, today there is snow on the ground here in Boston and much of the Eastern seaboard. Granted there’s not much more than an inch or so on the ground but it was heavy enough to cause several power outages here. Luckily, all the preparations we made for Hurricane Irene back in August came in handy last night. Amongst these preparations was a deck of cards which were used to play gin by candlelight until power was restored. I have a feeling it won’t be the last time we play cards before Halloween.
