The Office for the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights is calling for a probe of Colonel Gaddafi’s death.

Now it’s true there is a UN human rights probe underway with regard to allegations of torture committed on the part of the former Gaddafi regime. However, an investigation into Gaddafi’s death might become part of the current investigation. This illustrates that the UN makes no distinction between the victims of human rights violations and those who commit them.

That the UN would want to probe Gaddafi’s death should come as no surprise. After all, Libya won a seat on the UN Human Rights Council in 2010 and prior to its suspension earlier this year was about to be praised by that same body for its human rights record. As I wrote back in March, “The UN and human rights simply don’t mix.”

No Mystery, Gaddafi clearly died of Lead Poisoning.

Pure comedy if the UN found the Mocha Messiah "guilty" of a human rights violation here. Would they insist he give back his Nobel?

Whoever become the Republican nominee, "has" to make getting out of the UN, and the UN getting out of the USA a top priority. They're a pitiful joke!! Why we're a part of this organization is beyond me, I'll never get it!! Now they're worried that Gaddafi's human rights were violated? Are they friggin' serious? I know that a good percentage of the UN's members are Dictators themselves, but you can't cry about it when one of your own gets taken out, it just doesn't sell well on TV!!

I wonder if they'll find Obama guilty of "crimes against humanity" & "war crimes" & frog march him in front of the Hague?

The UN conducting an investigation is rather like a dog chasing a car - they'll pursue the investigation with unmitigated zeal...without the slightest idea of what they'll do with the result once they reach it.

Or like Wile E Coyote catching the Roadrunner. "OK wiseguys, you've wanted me to catch him. Now what do I do with him?"
