Writing in Forbes magazine, Dave Serchuk
thinks those young folk protesting on Wall Street are pretty
cool:
I also applaud these Millenials, because they haven’t backed
down as The Man tries to club them into submission. From what I’ve
seen of these folks, having mentored several at Forbes, they are
smart, polite, hard-working, and tenacious.
Tenacious, yeah. But smart? Polite? Hard-working? Good punch
lines.
More apt descriptive terms
are provided by The New York Post: “Sex, drugs and
hiding from the law at Wall Street protests”:
Zuccotti Park smelled like an open sewer — with people
urinating and defecating in public.
And some couples have taken advantage of the free condoms
distributed by organizers to do the nasty in full view of other
protesters.
“It kinda makes me think of what Woodstock must have been like,”
said one protester, Sarah, 19 from the Upper West Side.
“I haven’t hooked up with any guys … but one of my friends did
have sex in a tarp with a guy last night.”
Oh, and did I mention sex offenders
and
animal sex enthusiasts? (In the latter case, here’s a good
argument for not repeating whatever a speaker says,
Borg-like.)
But, of course, the real danger here is those racist tea
partiers (who love Herman Cain!) They’re actually polite, leave the
protest area cleaner than when they arrived, don’t engage in public
defecation or sex, and aren’t high on narcotics. What’s this
country coming to?

These OWS folks are making this a lot more complex that it really is.
If they want a job and a steady paycheck, would like to have all their meals taken care of, and enjoy camping out, why don’t they just mosey on down to their military recruiter?
Heck, they’d even get some nice clothing and great footwear too.

SC-Mike: Your idea is not as easy as you make it sound. First of all, they'd have to pass a PT test, which is easier now than it was in the past, but even still, they'd still have to run 1-1/2 mile, and I get the feeling they wouldn't make it that far, or in time, if they could finish at all. Plus on top of that, because of the current recession, the Military has the upper hand on who they take in now, unlike the tough old days back in 2005-2008, when we were taking anybody who was willing to give it a shot, and we'd give them a bonus too. Right now, if you've got something in your past that you're not too proud of, forget about it, the Military will take a pass on you,... NEXT!! And then to top it all off, you have to be a little patriotic to join the Military, and this OWS crowd appears to hate America, so I don't see them even attempting to join up, which is a good thing, because I hear they're really stinky!! But you're right about one thing, the footwear is great!! The food? Umm, not so great!!

These anarchists are actually doing the world a favor. When you contemplate the logical outcome of liberalism, this is what you get!! We started the spring with the angry, uncontrolled "drones" in Wisconsin, as they demonstrated with lawless, violent "protests". If it weren't for these young Marxists, we would only be talking about them. But now we have a real live example to point our neighbors and children to. And while the Main Stream Media fixates itself on the Tea Party with all of the baseless accusations, we can see how those accusations actually look, because these anarchists are actually incorporating the playbook the media accuses the Tea Part of using. Go ahead, compare the two. Even brain dead monkeys, (no offense to monkeys!!) can identify the different approach to "making themselves heard". Yes, this was we have been waiting for: the real life Marxist anarchists performing a service for us all. I say, keep them coming...they are doing us all a public service.

Pardon me, sir, but I should to point out that we are nothing like the detritous that is presently occupying Wall Street and I, for one, take offense at any implication to the contrary. We, unlike the genetic junk masquerading as informed citizens unified in common protest, at least recognize that we don't know shit and therefore refrain from advertising our abject ignorance to the world. Please be more cautious in making such comparisons in the future.

It was almost entirely predictable. Once Ogabe started pandering to the far left, it was like stirring bats out of their caves. The loony leftists advocating nearly anything and everything had the green light from the WH to hit the streets. We are seeing the underbelly of today's democrat party here on display for all. How far they've progressed from the likes of JFK and Harry Truman. This is grist for the campaign mill, but who will step up and be the unafraid miller?

If i were a weathy enough farmer I would send some busses (usually sent down to pick up Mexican laborers) to these protests and recruit some fruit pickers. I dare say the protesters would scatter like cockroaches and I would leave with empty busses.
