The Spectacle Blog

You’ve read here about Alec Baldwin, the anti-Wall Street celebrity and his behind-the-scenes connections to Wall Street and Big Oil.

But there’s more. Oh my, oh my oh my.

Celebrity Networth has done its journalistic job and discovered The Ten Richest Celebrities Supporting Occupy Wall Street.” The hypocrisy is amazing, is it not?

And yes indeed — take a gander at Celebrity Number Ten. That would be not a Hollywood celebrity but… Nancy Pelosi.

Still, we’re chagrined to report that over at AlecBaldwin.com our hero is still furious He is snipping around about this and that, perhaps out of fear of being a Liberal Alone.

But now, thanks to Celebrity Networth, Alec can know he’s not alone. Who else should he look for in his Gilded Cage of Wall Street haters? Those who take the Wall Street money but love to…well, you know… all over it? Alec is actually a paltry Number 6 on the list. But he does have company. Here’s the list of hypocri…sorry…celebrities supporting Occupy Wall Street:

1. Yoko Ono — Net Worth: $500 million
2. Russell Simmons — Net Worth: $325 million
3. Roseanne Barr — Net Worth: $80 million

4. Deepak Chopra — Net Worth: $80 million
5. Kanye West — Net Worth: $70 million
6. Alec Baldwin — Net Worth: $65 million
7. Susan Sarandon — Net Worth: $50 million
8. Michael Moore — Net Worth: $50 million
9. Tim Robbins — Net Worth: $50 million
10. Nancy Pelosi — Net Worth: $35 million

Then there’s this graph from the journalists at Celebrity Networth:

Last week we here at Celebrity Net Worth were a little confused to hear that Roseanne Barr, a woman worth $80 million, announce on Russian Television that she wants to behead all rich people. We wrote an article where we described her statements as ironic, hypocritical, stupid and possibly masochistic. 14 minutes after we published the article Roseanne herself lashed out at our twitter account with a series of vulgar and ridiculous tweets calling us “lying piece of s[**]t commies.”

She sounds like Alec Baldwin.

We are, however, certainly pleased to hear that Alec Baldwin will escape Roseanne’s guillotine. Although it’s an apparent close call for Roseanne herself. Having a net worth of $80 million is perilously close to her… ahhhhh… cut off level of $100 million. Shockingly, she believes Yoko Ono and Russell Simmons should go the way of Marie Antoinette. Geez, these people were so cool! Married to a Beatle! A hip hop entrepreneur! Oh well, Power to the People and all of that. Hasta la vista, rich babies.

And we’re also deeply pleased to hear that the Dems House Leader, ex-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is busily identifying her party with a crowd that defecates on police cars (as seen here, this is not for small children but is in the public prints — in Britain) and, because Congresswoman Pelosi is short of the guillotine by some $65 million, she is in no danger from $80 millionairess Roseanne and her blade.

Thank God Alec is safe.

And by the way. Alec is getting bolder and bolder now than he’s been outed by The American Spectator as a filthy freedom-loving capitalist pig who’s using Wall Street money to help his mother’s breast cancer foundation. He is still shy about ‘fessing up to his ties to Exxon Mobil, the Wall Street corporation that is “Big Oil” and listed as a “Corporate Partner” for his mother’s cancer fund. Doubtless he wants to avoid having the unwashed at his doorstep in Amagansett. Says Alec indignantly to a Tweeter named Bunker Mary, it is absolutely true:

….that my mother’s charity is not ” in bed with Big Oil.” Shame on you, Bunker Mary.

Then he goes soft when it comes to his buds at Morgan Stanley:

Is Bunker Mary suggesting that Morgan Stanley is prohibited from supporting breast cancer research?

OMG!! As they say. Is Alec Baldwin becoming a conservative in his dotage? Defending Wall Street because it’s helping Mom? What’s next? Apple pie?

Stay tuned.

But without doubt, Celebrity Networth has scored a big story here.

And the story is left-wing rich celebrity hypocrisy with a capital “H.”

these poor demented people are unaware that the total wealth of these ten would not run the u.s. government for an hour. if the government took all the wealth from rich americans it would not run the counrty for six months. this so called wealth is a drop in the bucket compared to the government spending.

Let's have a wealth tax... We, the American People, will appropriate, for the use of the U.S. Government, via our elected Representatives and Senators, 95% of their wealth - not the annual income, but the accumulated net wealth - of all these people. Besides, they would agree, would they not? It is, after all, Patriotic!

So Roseanne can chip in $76 million... We the People will allow - yes allow - her to keep $4 million of the money she made.

Next up:

Bill Gates will establish a trust fund to keep these people's noble and humanitarian goals alive, just like he does with every Leftist cause.

And Warren Buffett will demand that everyone who is "rich" by the definition of his bosom buddy Barack Obama must (under pain of horrific government penalties) leave everything they own to these (olfactorily colorful) young--er--idealists.

Ah, you contards haven't a clue, do you? So what if I'm worth $50 million and own a few McMansions? The key point is that I'm part of the Revolutionary Vanguard. We're entitled to our dough, our babes, and our perks. You dweebs are just peasants; your job is to serve us, obey us, and keep your mouths shut. One day, when we run things I intend to set up re-education camps....

This would be where "brilliant pebbles" would be useful. One moment Roseanne's speaking, the next she is destroyed by space dust.

Actually it's the OPPOSITE of hypocrisy. They didn't change their clear-headed views about what is best for the country as a whole JUST because they're rich.

This is basic morality people, you're a disappointment to humanity.
