All credit to Rick Santorum for making this statement:
Verona, PA - Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) made the
following statement in reaction to violence against Christians in
Egypt.
Senator Santorum said: “New Egyptian Prime Minister Sharaf has
blamed a ‘dirty conspiracy’ by foreigners who meddle in Egypt’s
business as a cause for the anti-Christian violence we are
witnessing in the streets of Cairo, but it is clear that his regime
had absolutely no regard for religious liberties and human rights
from its inception. President Obama helped break Egypt when he
abandoned our imperfect ally Hosni Mubarak, and now he’s witnessing
the results. President Obama needs to make a clear and strong stand
against this religious persecution, and stand tall for the
foundational liberties America has exemplified. We need to be a
world leader in ending such persecution because it was this belief
in free people that made America not just a revolutionary nation,
but a revolutionary ideal.”
I myself have been doing lots of research lately into the
Iranian Revolution of the late 1970s. It has seemed to me that the
situation in Egypt has developed along very similar lines. Granted,
Egypt under Mubarak was worse, more repressive, than Iran was under
the Shah. But if anything, its strategic importance is even greater
than was the tremendous strategic importance of Iran back then. And
the potential for long-lasting disaster is just as great.
But I digress. For now, it is essential that Christians be
protected. Santorum is right to speak up. It’s a job the
president should be doing, but our president is AWOL — if not
worse than AWOL.

And just where is the Pope or the Dahli Lama? I hear crickets. Obama is aligned with the Leftist, Islamists and George Soros, so he's no surprise.

I guess after Santorum supported invading Iraq because he was so scared of Saddam, with the result of destroying the Iraqi Chrisitan community which the leader of his faith mentioned, perhaps he is feeling concerned about his eternal soul.
No wait, he is just being cynical--that makes more sense.

I notice he isn't actually IN Egypt doing the defending.

All Christians in the Middle East are at RISK....Not enough news media and religeous leaders have spoken out.
The Egypt uprising in the spring was co-opted by the Muslim Brotherhood right from the beginning...many of us spoke out about this at that time....The Obama whitehouse never seemed to have a clue ! The Pope has spoken out many times....the christian persecution has been going on for a long time....All funding should cease....and we should be having serious talks with the Saudi's!

We need to open our eyes to what Islam truly is, a cult-like religion at war with its predecessors. Dubya's hyper-tolerant policy toward Islam was a mistake, going far toward earning the contempt of the militants. Obama's policies are worse, of course, damaging American interests at every turn. I hope whoever the Republican candidate is uses the picture of Obama bowing to the Saudi monarch, the most disgusting display of Presidential servility ever filmed.
So good for Santorum. All Republicans should be speaking out on this.

slewing ring is a kind of comprehensive load to bear large bearings, because of its appearance resembling plate, so it is also called "slewing bearing". http://www.1stbearing.com
