So

Is anybody really surprised that Christie isn't running?

Only slightly related, the last time I was on the Acela I saw a sign in Trenton that said something like, "Trenton makes. The world takes."

The Republican leadership needs to stop this nonsense of sponsoring last minute candidates. Voters will lose confidence and it sends the message that insiders don't support our current candidates. If the insiders wanted Christie or someone else, they should have got him in six months ago or forgot about it.

Replacing Obama is the most important thing.

You are one tough guy with the lives of others. Why don't you move to Israel and volunter or volunteer. All talk.

beebop2| 10.5.11 @ 5:54AM

If you could actually submit a comment that can pass for anything other than anti Israel, I would fall over from the shock.

I'm 49. Waiting until they are ready to attack you is a good way to get your own guys killed, John the Jihadist.

I don't trust you with the safety of my kids, boy.

'Many of us tea partiers'? Like who? How many? Statistics?

be honest. you made it up out of your indignation. right?

What is 'Israel first'? Israel is an ally, one of the most important. It's a natural ally but also because we choose it as one.
When Israel-haters become the a majority, youse can all flip Isreal the bird and lie down with the Islamists. Till then check your blood pressure.

Bite This Blue Boy.

"Tea partiers in two camps: Sarah Palin vs. Ron Paul
Tea party activists are divided roughly into two camps, according to a POLITICO/TargetPoint poll: one that’s libertarian-minded and largely indifferent to hot-button values issues and another that’s culturally conservative and equally concerned about social and fiscal issues.

The survey, an exit poll conducted by Edison Research at the massive Tax Day protest on the National Mall, found that the attendees were largely hostile to President Barack Obama and the national Democratic Party — three-quarters believe the president “is pursuing a socialist agenda.”

Yet they aren’t enamored of the Republican Party as an alternative. Overall, three out of four tea party attendees said they were “scared about the direction” of the country and “want to send a message to both political parties.”
Palin, who topped the list with 15 percent, speaks for the 43 percent of those polled expressing the distinctly conservative view that government does too much, while also saying that it needs to promote traditional values.

Paul’s thinking is reflected by an almost identical 42 percent who said government does too much but should not try to promote any particular set of values — the hallmarks of libertarians. He came in second to Palin with 12 percent.

When asked to choose from a list of candidates for president in 2012, Palin and Paul also finished one-two — with Palin at 15 percent and Paul at 14 percent. "

The Tea Party Rebellion Is Here.

beebop2| 10.5.11 @ 5:56AM

You know that Politico is a leftist outfit, right? Funny that someone who claims to be a Tea Partier would need to go to a leftist site for support of an alleged "Tea Party" position, but I am in support of the First Amendment and your right to look stupid.

Occam's Tool| 10.5.11 @ 1:16PM

That's old news. Paul is down to 6 percent. His support is going down faster than Clint on a Jihadist.

Ross Kaminsky| 10.4.11 @ 8:44PM

Jim, you're probably not surprised that I'm not surprised since I wrote YESTERDAY that Christie will not run.

W. James Antle III| 10.4.11 @ 11:14PM

That's right, I read it here first!

tonypal| 10.4.11 @ 11:14PM

As a New Jerseyan, I'm not surprised. He's never said otherwise. We all know Christie likes publicity and the last few weeks didn't exactly cause him much pain. He was courted by some serious money and knows he's got a big future ahead of him. He's got time on his side and can afford to be patient.

In the meantime, he needs to finish the job in NJ. He's shown himself to be up to the task so far. If he can get the budget under control here, which essentially requires crushing the unions, he will become a major national figure for all the right reasons.

Is Peter Gabriel suing for copyright infringement?

martin j smith| 10.5.11 @ 10:29AM

My guess is that Christie was having his arm twisted by the RINO crowd but was on his own ambivalent about getting in. For whatever the real reasons, its just as well he is not in because we have enough of a problem sorting thru what we already have.

Occam's Tool| 10.5.11 @ 1:15PM

Thanks Clint. By the way, Israel won a Nobel prize in Chemistry today. For those who are counting, Clint, that makes 4 Nobelists this year, 3 Jews.

Israel is not allowed by us to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan because we don'tr want to piss off the Arabs, by the way. Just like the US didn't want Israel to retaliate against Iraq in the first Gulf War.

With WHAT do you think, dear boy? By the way, THIS YEAR ALONE, Jews won more hard science Nobels than Arabs have in over a century (they have won 2. Period. TWO.).

Clint, how's Ron Paul doing these days?

Occam's Tool| 10.5.11 @ 1:16PM

Sorry, the above should read "didn't want." So excited about the Nobel. Beautiful, iconoclastic work.

Roller bearing is composed of axial and radial two roller bearing assembly, bearings reduce
volume, simplifies the installation structure, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost.
