Today New Jersey governor Chris Christie vetoed a tax credit for a Jersey Shore movie. 

As Josh Barro has shown, film tax credits are widely abused and are generally fiscally outrageous. So Christie’s veto is admirable for at least two reasons.

What? We the taxpayers are paying not only giving filmakers a break on all the taxes for filming in our state, we are also paying them to film here. You have got to be kidding me, this is a scam beyond my worst nightmare. How can I prevent my hard earned tax dollars from going into the pockets of these people?
