I agree that the president's jobs and deficit reduction plan is mostly an exercise in political cynicism. In fact, it seems clear that Obama would have some reservations about signing his own $1.5 trillion tax hike if, by some fluke, Congress passed it:

Maybe he could sell the naming rights to the "bill?" If Buffet won't cough up the necessary dough, he could sell it to the highest bidder ... We all know its the Soros Bill.

I think all Leftists who believe that the rich aren't taxed enough should put their money where their mouths are.
If enough of them donated their money market funds or municipal bonds, we could pay down the debt in no time.
