Obama's Dares

It's difficult to escape the conclusion that President Obama's jobs bill and deficit reduction are at best only secondarily about jobs or the deficit. Their primary intended purpose is rather transparently to dare congressional Republicans to vote against a "jobs act" and a millionaires tax, and then use these votes against them next year. Some way to transcend partisan politics.

Mr Antle: What universe to you live on? This who Obama is. Obama has been well known to be a Radical Left ideologue and the term Socialist or even Communist would be appropriate. He sounds and has sounded like a Marxist-Leninist agitator.
That means that there is no way to "compromise" with Obama--and just as I say this guy continues his refusal to make a deal with Private Enterprise and Small business. His world view is not one that most Americans believe in. Now, Mr Antle what do think we should do ?

Transcend politics? You gotta be kidding. Its nothing but politics. Obama doesn't intend for this turkey of a bill to pass, he just wants to demagogue it to death on the campaign trail (the one by the way, he's never left).

When Obama says pass this bill (which doesn't exist) now about 57 times in a speech, he reminds me of a boiler room broker trying to peddle penny stock. Buy now before the deal is gone, Now! Now! Now!

Today only! Buy this bill and we'll send you two -- that's right -- two for the price of one!!!! All you do is pay separate shipping and handling!!!! Available only as a television offer. Not available in stores.

One would have to be morbidly cynical to see this as anything OTHER than a political gambit. He can write the narrative on this any way he wants. His use of contrapuntal issues is an unmistakeable clue. C'mon Antle think it through.....

Most of us have already figured out that this is pure political manipulation. The real question is, "what are we going to do about it"?

Is it going to be the usual 'play into their hands', 'stupid party' response or are we capable of a successful countermeasure?

Mr. Antle..you seem like a smart guy and good writer..how about an article on some ideas on how the GOP can respond?

LiveFreeOrDie| 9.19.11 @ 10:52PM

"...how the GOP can respond?"

Pass it. They would never expect that.

It si funny but have you noticed over the last several years all these talking heads willing to give extensive advice about how and what Obama should do in dealing with issues and his opposition but when it comes to the GOP, complete silence, and many of these pundits are conservatives. Strange world indeed.
