The Spectacle Blog

Rod Dreher makes some interesting points in favor of Elizabeth Warren. I plan to write a column about Warren in the near future. For now, suffice it to say that the Jim Webb experience has dampened my enthusiasm for Democrats who pepper their speeches with populism and traditionalism while also being a netroots wet dream. And Webb, as a Marine, Reagan administration official, author, and essayist rather than an architect of a constitutionally dubious new federal agency, had a much more conservative track record than Warren.

It is, however, good to see Dreher in the blogosphere again.

It is? Since when?

Dreher has become a real kook since leaving the New York Post years back.

Indeed. There's been a shortage of kooky writers to mock lately, and it's good to have ole Rod back. BTW, has he ditched Orthodoxy yet?

This comment is not intended to address Mr. Antle, in particular, since thankfully his enthusiasm is "dampened" for lying Democrats who act like conservatives....BUT this Dreher guy can take his praise for any democrat and shove it....and I would also like to see our columnists (including Mr. Antle) taking a much stronger position against buffoonish attempts to dig through the Democrat dumpster to find useful items.

Mr. Dreher....all Democrats...and any "conservative" writers (or any for that matter) who aid and abett these Democrat liars should be called out for their sorry mealy mouthed crap...

THAT GOT US INTO THIS CRAP TO BEGIN WITH.

Mr. Dreher is in the best of company since Elizabeth Warren is also the darling of Firedoglake and KosKids. Not so much in the House of Representatives when she refused to attend/stonewalled hearings called by the House when they attempted to determine her background & the scope of her duties in the completely unaccountable position as director of the newly creator of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

At least Dreher gets though a column without one reference to pervert priests. But Antle calls him a "conservative"? Is this a bad joke?
