Clint| 9.12.11 @ 9:29PM
They Bitch Slapped Perry on his Big Government HPV Vacine mandate.
Good For Santorum & Michelle.
Clint| 9.12.11 @ 9:33PM
Now, Perry is doin' The Texas Two Step over Givin' Illegal Aliens Subsidized Tuitions in Texas.
Jack in Wi.| 9.13.11 @ 1:10AM
I saw a look on Perry's face that said. What the hell am I doing here? I want to be back at the countryclub cutting deals not putting up with this babe kicking me in the groin.
Bob| 9.12.11 @ 9:45PM
The hyperdermic cowpuke has touched the third rail and now members of his own windbag party are turning against him. The ghost of FDR lives on! He flamed out quicker than Freddy the Freeloader Thompson. My how fast these GOP fat heads come and go. Would you trust this man giving your kid a Vaccine?
Simon Templar| 9.12.11 @ 10:03PM
The cheap shots that Bachmann and Santorum threw at Perry to remain relevant will guarantee the reelection of Obama. The bait was thrown and predictably they went for it because both lack the common sense to not fall for it and have the ego ambitions of typical politicians not to resist. They will not move up the polls significantly and now have damaged a leading candidate. They will take the next bait when Romney pulls ahead. When these jackasses are done, the DNC will send a thank you note and we will suffer aniother four years. Expect to see DNC TV commercials with Bachmann starring in them.
If you have any doubts about what I am saying ask Bob, the Liberal troll above, who is enjoying every second of this.
Maybe we really are the stupid party.
Clint| 9.12.11 @ 10:17PM
Perry got nailed on HPV vacine & in state tuition for illegal aliens.
Simon Templar| 9.12.11 @ 10:29PM
Perry, Ron Paul, and all of the leading candidates suffered major damage. But you are too damn stupid to see that. They got played again....Wolfy Blister is probably drinking champagne right now and getting back slapped by his pals.
Clint| 9.12.11 @ 10:39PM
Simon, you're one more pseudo-intellect elitist, who thinks We,The Great Unwashed are too stupid to agree with you.
We saw Perry get nailed on HPV vacine & in state tuition for illegal immigrants & we saw Romney tryin' to defend MittensCare.
The other candidates with Tea Party audience help, broke through Wollfie Blitzer's attempts to carry out The Ruling Elite Romney/Perry Debate Keep Away Agenda.
Simon Templar| 9.12.11 @ 11:02PM
We also saw Ron Paul be baited and shoot his head off his own shoulders with his latter comments on the national security issue.
The only thing you give a damn about is Ron Paul and your Libertarian clap trap...you would just as see Obama reelected than quit your mentally deranged and unfounded attacks on all the other candidates, the people on this blog, and the jews that you call sand monkeys.
You don't know crap about anything and your understanding of media, the image, and this nation's politics is a sad extremely irritating joke.
No, I do not think most people do not agree with me nor are they too stupid. You, on the other hand, are another story. Frankly, I have given up playing nice with you. Please do not lecture me about pseudo-intellectual elitists. LOL. That was precious.
Clint| 9.13.11 @ 6:01AM
Awwwww, Little Simon Doesn't Wanna Play Nice With Tea Party Clint No Mo.
Box of Tissues RINO-CINO Ruling Elite Crybaby, Simon ?
The GOP Ruling Elite & Their Flunkie Stooge Apologists Don't Own Us Tea Party Patriots.
Your Algore HillaryCare Cheerleader Ricky Perry Got Bitch Slapped By Our Tea Party Candidate Michelle Bachmann & Ricky Santorum.
The Tea Party Rebellion Is Here.
Jack in Wi.| 9.13.11 @ 1:18AM
Paul did great. He was the professor on the stage and all the rest were students. Some of them sounded like they learned their lessons. Most of the time they were trying to out Paul Paul. Ron won the debate because everyone is trying to steal his ideas. He won also because he had the most coherent and well thought out ideas. I don't worry about a little booing, by the over the cliff Cheneyites.
Romney,Perry, and Huntsman were also booed. We know we are in a fight to the finish with the neo-cons and the military industrial complex. We are taking the party over or the party wil be gone and replaced with something else.
Bob| 9.12.11 @ 10:17PM
Give credit where credit is due. Even a dunce like Bachmann did something right and we Democrats thank her. She torpedoed the erstwhile Texas governor right out of the campaign. I wonder who Rush Windbag will support now. Romney? I hope so proving my point what a phony he has been all along. Hey what's the Tea Party going to do now that their Lone Star glitters no more?
Stumpy Pepys| 9.12.11 @ 10:33PM
I came in late, but it sure seemed as if the moderator tossed softballs to Huntsman as if he were the leader in the clubhouse. He's dead last by my reckoning, but the progressives love him. Gingrich articulates the issues most clearly but he has too much baggage to have any chance of being nominated. Too bad...I'd love to see him and Obama debate! Bachman keeps saying she has "fought" for this or that, but fighting does no good if one does not win . It's almost as tiresome as Perry waiting for "the end of the day." Can't we do better than this??!!
ER| 9.12.11 @ 10:38PM
Perry said his approach to Gardisil (HPV) vaccine was wrong, and he wouldn't do it that way again. Romney won''t say he is wrong about RomneyCare. The difference? Gardisil PREVENtS CERVICAL CANCER , which is a sexually Transmitted disease (yes, caused by HPV virus). Let's see, what other vzccines do we FORCE "poor little babies" to get? Tetanus? Rubella? Do you know why we FORCE "poor little babies " to get Rubella vaccine? Because this very mild virus ( a few spots), a pregnant woman who catches Rubella from one of these "poor little babies", will herself have a baby with horrible birth defects (fact: Congenital Rubella Syndrome). I am a Family Physician, and Bachmann is pandering when she says Gardisil is unsafe. It is safe, it works, and it PREVENTS CANCER. Should we force "poor little girls " to get it? Mothers should, not governments. Did Perry say he was wrong? Yes he did. Did Reagan say he was wrong in signing funding for abortion in California? Yes he did. Did Reagan evolve over time? Why , yes he did, he was once a Democrat, UNION leader. Does Romney recant a proven FAILURE in ROMNEYCARE in Mass.? A template for ObamaCare? Hello? Hello? Liberals demonize Drug Companies. Which Chinese, Italian, Russian, Mexican company has invented a shot that PREVENTS CANCER? Good for Merck in inventing this scourge of the females of our society.
Confused Voter| 9.12.11 @ 10:53PM
Sounds like Perry has nothing to apologize for so why the apology. He did what he thought was best. Romney defended his position and refused to give ground. Perry should have taken the same tactic and defended his policy. By weakening he opened a Pandora's box to other issues effectively losing the debate. Score one for Romney.
NbyNW| 9.13.11 @ 12:03AM
Perry apologized for his approach - using an executive order - not his intent.
Simon Templar| 9.12.11 @ 11:12PM
ER, thank you for your intelligent, reasoned, and informed comments. It is could to know that there are people like yourself out there.
Nite| 9.12.11 @ 11:34PM
Finally an intelligent informed conversation on this vaccine. Parents in TX can opt out of all vaccines. This vaccine must be given a number of years before becoming sexually active to be protective against the disease. ER mentioned vaccines against childhood diseases, that some parents opt out of with very bad effects. Bachman and Santorium were shrill and went on and on even after Governor Perry explained his actions. Frankly I want a GOP candidate that can beat Obama. Perry is the only one who can. He is a true social and fiscal conservative, and strong national defense and a friend to Israel. I don't give a hoot about the HPV vaccine. It didn't fly, and was eliminated some time ago.
Sean| 9.13.11 @ 12:03AM
Sounds like the mother to be should be getting the shot then and not the baby. If you are vaccinated you should not be afraid of someone who is unvaccinated.
NbyNW| 9.13.11 @ 12:08AM
I have a lot of respect for Bachmann, but her attacks on this issue turned me off. I thought while listening to her that she sounded like one of those people who mistrusts vaccines in general. As long as there was an opt-out, I don't think this is a significant issue.
galloglass| 9.13.11 @ 12:48AM
ER:
Isn't there a certain level of coercion in public health medicine? It's an inherent balancing act weighing individual civil liberties and the common good. What if 50% of a certain community decided they didn't want a vaccine, let's say polio, and you knew that at least 80% coverage was necessary for herd immunity. What would you do?
ER| 9.12.11 @ 10:43PM
Correction: Good for Merck in inventing this CURE for the scourge of the females of our society.
Kingofthenet| 9.12.11 @ 10:51PM
No Tea for you Perry...
Simon Templar| 9.12.11 @ 11:07PM
The idea was to craftily set up the leading candidates to attack each other with distortions of their policys and past actions or statements with the aid and assistance of the weak ones around the issues that they were most vulnerable.
Well done, Mr. Wolfy Blister.
NbyNW| 9.13.11 @ 12:12AM
These attacks aren't anything that the democrats wouldn't think up all by themselves. Might as well get these issues out there now, and get them settled now. Let them defend and/or explain themselves - it'll make them stronger. By the time one of the candidates debate Obama, it'll be old news.
