I have a weekly radio show on Thursday nights at 8-9 CENTRAL
time in Mobile, AL, on FM Talk
106.5, with coverage well into the vote-rich Florida Panhandle
to the East and to Gulfport MS to the West. It has terrific
reception online (at the link above), so anybody anywhere can
listen in. My guests so far have included John Fund, Stephen
Moore, Fred Barnes, Jeff Sessions, and former FEC chair Hans von
Spakovsky. But now, in a first for southern Alabama local
radio, knowing that the audience via the web site can be national,
I'm introducing an occasional series with presidential candidates
-- with other candidates already in the works to come on.
But my first presidential-race guest will be THIS THURSDAY,
Sept. 8, in the 8-9 hour CENTRAL time: Rick Santorum will be with
me, and all of you are "Welcome to Hillyer Time." (Think of the
tune to the old Miller Beer Commercial!) Please do listen
in.
Also, to keep the show on the air, I need more sponsorships, and
it occurred to me that a listener-sponsored show would be a great
way to keep it afloat. Sponsorships can be silent, or they
can involve me doing a SHORT on-air script. For information
on these very inexpensive opportunities to firmly
establish this show in the heart of Red America, please email me at
Qhillyer@Gmail.com -- but only if you are serious about helping
out.
Many thanks. And, again, listen in on Thursday night for what
should be a highly entertaining and informative, long-from
interview with Rick Santorum. And then listen in on future weeks,
for future great national guests, including at least one other
presidential contender -- right there at Hillyer Time on FM Talk 106.5.
If you're running 8th in a field of 9 candidates (number 9
hasn't figured out that he's in the wrong party) and lost your own
state by 18 points in your last election, do you really get to call
yourself a legitimate presidential candidate?
Quin| 9.6.11 @ 4:13PM
Well, yes, when running 18 points behind in a horrible year and
state for the GOP was still four points better than the GOP
candidate for governor did, and when you came in fourth in the Iowa
straw poll and have made good inroads into South Carolina too.

Sound cool, Quin. Are you going to set up podcasts?
