Yesterday, Judge Reggie Walton rejected Roger Clemens’ bid to have perjury charges against him dismissed. So Clemens will now stand trial for a second time in April 2012. Judge Walton had declared a mistrial in July after the prosecution introduced evidence that had previously been deemed inadmissable.

Clemens’ attorneys argued that the prosecution had intentionally tried to bring about a mistrial. However, I think that’s too clever by half. It would appear that in this case the prosecution is simply incompetent rather than malevolent. Still, it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in Eric Holder’s Department of Justice.

More waste of taxpayers money by Eric Holder's Justice Department. He couldn't wait to drop a slam-dunk case against the Black Panthers, but he's so anxious to see to it that Roger Clemens alone go to jail for something that if he were consistent he'd be trying Palmeiro and Tejada for as well.

Well I am for Holder being tried for perjury next. I

Roger Clemens is a winner and that's why he must be destroyed. It's fascinating that we have here is allegedly lying to Congress, a feat engaged in by several Obama appointees. After their lies were discovered it was considered a mistake.

While the Justice Department does everything possible to destroy a winner like Clemens, terrorists trials are delayed with the intention of one day dropping them.

The trial of Major Hassan, who murdered 13 members of the armed services, continues to garner little attention in the press because he is actually adored by the press. He did what many liberals would like to do but would never admit it.

I take what Hassan did personally because in 2008 I turned down a job offer from Fort Hood's Department of Psychiatry, Darnell Medical Center because I got my job up here. I might have been asshole's colleague. That would have been as much fun as dealing with Clint. No end of vermin, Paulbots, traitors, and scum.

Illegally fired inspectors general - WalpinGate. Black Panther voter intimidation. GunGate - murdered federal agents. Chrysler / GM bondholder and dealership scandals. Freddie Mae Mac Fannie. Flash mobs.

It's reassuring to know that our DOJ has avoided distractions and maintained priorities, yes?

Hey, RCV, isn't there something about repeatedly trying a guy for the same offense?

I gotta agree with Ran on this. Perfectly succinct and accurate.

Everybody---I hope your Labor Day was safe and enjoyable. I did very pleasant holiday rounds, and finished up a newsletter on anxiety disorders.

Who on Earth would have had any confidence in Eric Holder's Dept. of Injustice, anyhow?
