I hear via Rush that a White House source tells FNC’s Ed Henry how this ‘jobs’ speech, so important and fulsome as to require a Joint Address to Congress, well, it will now only unveil some of Obama’s plan. The rest will be laid out over the fall as Obama takes his campai…plan…to the American people.
Translation: Man, that Solyndra thing was bad timing, what with ABC News having already telegraphed just the night before what was hoped to be a successful euphemization of ‘green jobs stimulus’, into targeted infrastructure investment on clean energy. Maybe that ABC leak will be forgotten soon enough. Was worth a try. Squirrel!
The past 24 hours’ WaPo coverage and even an LA Times editorial indicated this latest assault on the Average American’s intelligence would not avoid well-deserved scrutiny and even mockery.
So, IMO, that is behind this strategic redirection.

The key here and the question that needs to be asked is, what will be the GOP response to this political manipulation?
Perhaps, the bloggers here could help the Establishment Republicans come up with a check mate response. I am actually confident that they could come up with some very creative ideas...not so confident in the GOP.

Until Obama realizes his methods don't and won't work to increase employment, he is doomed to continued failure. He critcizes opponents for being inflexible and stubborn yet he epitomizes stubborn in his adherence to failed strategies. Strategies that failed down through history and today. If he would admit the mistakes and really change his path he might even win some support from the other side. We all know the chances of that happening.

The President will unviel an breathtaking assortment of targeted infrastructure enhancements, that will focus on sustainable, low carbon methods of energy production in the hardest hit areas of the US. He will announce the need to borrow an additional $600 billion for an assortment of bicycles for the good citizens of Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angles, Miami Beach Florida, and Newark New Jersey. When a reporter asked who would supply the bikes, a WH official said he would have to place a call to Hong Kong and check with thier export officials.

The real reason for the hasty rewrite is the on-going Roger Clemons trial. Someone at the WH finally realized that lying to Congress is a federal crime, and decided it was too risky to read the original text in front of a GOP-controlled House. They're busily removing all the B.S. "specifics" from the speech and replacing them with more vague platitudes taken from past campagin speeches - er, "major policy addresses."

OBAMA...If he want's to impress the AMERICAN people must 1st admit he was wrong and deliver a complete MIA CULPA. Promise to UNDO the damage...all of it! If we don't hear that, he is as good as over! We will have to wait it out, but in the interim confront the DEM'S on every last thing they have done to destroy this country...We must shout it from the house-top ...every last detail!
START thinking treason for the attempt to destroy our nation economy and livlihood of the people....This speech if more of the same old same, will tell us for sure this is on PURPOSE !
The whole Democratic Party is at a crossroads it will be interesting to find out if there is a PATRIOT left among the lot!!

The irony I see is that we are now seeing all the federal agency fully activated in the Obama plan to seize control of the economy, and they can NOT be called back. They are like the Russian commanders who once given an order MUST continue engaging. Each of these agencies are creating rules that kill jobs. We are seeing it in energy, manufacturing, insurance, health, and other industries. He screwed up the timing. He is sunk

If they could only convict them of treason and deport them after confiscating their bank accounts it would be the greatest single event in my lifetime. Having watched politics for many years I am not giving that much of a chance. It would be the best present this nation has had since it's founding.
