Don't want to alarm anyone, but we've just had another aftershock -- this was a pretty strong one, shaking and vibrating the lamp on my work table and the floor under my chair for a good ten seconds or so, or long enough for me to wonder if it was going to get stronger and back to what it was on Tuesday. But all is quiet now. My dog and cat slept through it.

UPDATE: It registered 4.5, the largest since the 5.8 quake itself.

I wondered if anyone else was up and if that was what I was actually feeling. They haven't broken into the news on tv yet!

Relax...It is only the Earth readjusting to the combined pressure of the Federal Debt,QE1, QE2 and Federal money generated by the Federal Reserve.

Probably just Chris Christie rolling out of bed.

Notice that Hurricane Irene is chasing Barack Obama from Martha's Vineyard and forcing him to evacuate to earthquake-prone Washington, DC. Next we'll have cats and dogs living together.

I hope yopu are doing OK. As someone who lived in LA for 5 years and Rotorua for 1, I have a fair degree of familiarity with Earthquakes. Mostly, they would just piss me off.
