Gallup is the latest major polling firm to find that Rick Perry
now
leads among Republican primary voters nationally. Perry takes
29 percent of the vote, leapfrogging Mitt Romney who is at 17
percent. Ron Paul has moved into third with 13 percent, followed by
Michele Bachmann at 10 percent. Everyone else is below 5
percent.
Throw in Sarah Palin and Rudy Giuliani and the race changes only
slightly. Perry would still lead with 25 percent, Romney would come
in second with 14 percent, and Palin and Paul would tie for third
at 11 percent each. Next comes Giuliani with 9 percent and Bachmann
at 7 percent. Everybody else is under 5 percent.
Perry crushes Romney in the South 39 percent to 12 percent while
trailing the former Massachusetts governor by just one point in the
East. Perry has also taken a toll on Bachmann, who does no better
than tying Paul in any region of the country and trails all three
of them in the Midwest, even though that’s where she does best.
Perry also beats Romney 33 percent to 16 percent among
conservatives, while Romney has a single-digit lead among moderate
to liberal Republicans.
A Rasmussen poll taken earlier this month also showed Perry
moving ahead of Romney nationally, with Bachmann and Paul coming
next.

So do we now have a top tier of Perry, Romney and Paul?
Willis| 8.24.11 @ 3:30PM
No. Paul is not top tier in anything except wackiness.

The positions of Ron Paul are those of the vast majority of Americans in regards to bringing the troops home now, ending all foreign aid, and auditing the Fed. Ron has the most fervent and hardest working supporters. They are giving him a lot of money, and his issues are what the country wants. Ron Paul, the soldiers best friend, will be the next president of the USA.

The GOP Ruling Elite Fops & their Apologist Flunkies attempt to move the top tier goalposts again.
Here comes Our Tea Party Co-Favorite & Presidential VCandidate, Dr.Ron Paul.
Obama 39%, Paul 38%
Tuesday, August 23, 2011
The president and the maverick are running almost dead even in a hypothetical 2012 election matchup.
Texas Republican Congressman Ron Paul earns 38% of the vote to President Obama’s 39% in the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters. Fourteen percent (14%) like some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) remain undecided.

" Rick Perry supported Lance Armstrong's 3 billion dollar Texas taxpayer funded medical research center. That’s like ObamaCare. That’s not free market.
Rick Perry, secured a 300 million dollar business handout slush fund for him and just the two leaders of the legislature to dole out to whomever he felt like being friendly to. That’s corporate welfare, a recipe for corruption, and as bad as the TARP bailouts that caused the Tea Parties to explode all across America. In fact, Perry gave 20 million dollars to Countrywide Financial which later went bankrupt.
He supported a new state business tax. He set up toll road tax collection booths all over Texas highways. The Austin Tea Party and the Austin Toll Party booed him on the steps of the state Capitol for that.
Rick Perry, signed an executive order mandating young Texas schoolgirls to get the HPV vaccine, while his former chief of staff was a lobbyist for Merck. Perry's judgment was so bad the Texas legislature revolted against him and overturned his decision,"
The Tea Party Rebellion Is Here.
Carpe Diem.

Don't be a scumbag. Kook Paul had nothing to do with creating the Tea Party.

Do Your Homework, Before You Run Your Uninformed Anti-Tea Party Mouth.
"Tea party activists are divided roughly into two camps, according to a POLITICO/TargetPoint poll: one that’s libertarian-minded and largely indifferent to hot-button values issues and another that’s culturally conservative and equally concerned about social and fiscal issues.
The survey, an exit poll conducted Thursday by Edison Research at the massive Tax Day protest on the National Mall, found that the attendees were largely hostile to President Barack Obama and the national Democratic Party — three-quarters believe the president “is pursuing a socialist agenda.”
Yet they aren’t enamored of the Republican Party as an alternative. Overall, three out of four tea party attendees said they were “scared about the direction” of the country and “want to send a message to both political parties.”
Palin, who topped the list with 15 percent, speaks for the 43 percent of those polled expressing the distinctly conservative view that government does too much, while also saying that it needs to promote traditional values.
Paul’s thinking is reflected by an almost identical 42 percent who said government does too much but should not try to promote any particular set of values — the hallmarks of libertarians. He came in second to Palin with 12 percent.
When asked to choose from a list of candidates for president in 2012, Palin and Paul also finished one-two — with Palin at 15 percent and Paul at 14 percent. "

He cut property taxes in exchange for the business tax. Helping homeowners by spreading the tax base rather than relying so heavily on property owners. I realize that business taxes are passed onto consumers but that includes out of state visitors and illegal aliens! Also employees paid under the table and drug dealers.

Perry is the GOP establishment spoiler. He is designed to pull support away from Ron Paul and be discarded like Huckleberry Hound was in 2008. The GOP establishment will do anything to keep a real reformer like Paul off the ticket.

So Michele can't find the Pacific Ocean on a world map and Lexington & Concord is in Greenland, so what? Ah! but singing Happy Birthday to Elvis on the anniversary of his death was to much, a profound insult to us R & R fans hence her disintegration in the polls. Bye Bye Ms. American Pie.

Give me a friggin break! The ONLY reason this establishment candidate is anywhere near "front-runner" status is because the establishment media says so! The only people that know who he really is are 'some' Texans, and those who truly know who he is HATE him! Rick Perry is the epitome of an establishment candidate! Trust me, if the establishment is promoting him, that can only mean one thing! If anyone were to continue these destructive policies we've had to endure for the last few decades, it's Rick "Gardasil" "NAFTA" "New World Order" "Bilderberg Group" Perry! He's TOTALLY going to simply continue right where all these establishment/corporatist presidents left off, as if they never skipped a beat! However, I bet a million bucks he's going to be even worse! If you know anything about history repeating itself, you'd better be voting Ron Paul 2012! www.celebs4truth.com

Love the Perry h8ers! (spoken in their language)
The more they hate on him, the more I know he's the guy to back in the fight against Obama.
Can't you just smell their fear, that disgusting scent of urine running down their leg as they realize their WAN is about to go down as the stuttering clusterf*&k of a miserable failure that he is?
Run, progs, run! You'll only lose tired! :-)

And when ___ (Any GOP Candidate wins) they'll bring about an economic revival the same way G. W. Bush turned this country round the bend, then we'll all be saved and have no one to thank but He who created the good, green earth that never overwarmeth.
Christopher Landrum| 8.24.11 @ 11:24PM
It's truly going to take a career politician to raise this economy out of the muck it's been shoved under. Career politicians know everything about economics and such, which is why we should put blind trust in Richard Perry, much more than small business entrepenuaers. Unlike the latter, career politicians are totally against government growth because such growth comes from the same place they receive their paycheck--that's why they're so, so, so against it. Makes perfect sense in the real, rural world of the open-minded.

Tell Your Propaganda to The Texas Tea Party & The New Hampshire Tea Party.
They Are After Perry for:
Rick Perry & TARP, The Trans Texas Corridor, Toll Roads, Business Margin Tax, HPV Vaccine Mandate....
more later.....

The ONLY reason this is so is because the media and Establishment are behind them. I wouldn't walk across the street to vote for either of these jokers. Looks like "we the people" are in for yet another "six in one, half dozen in the other" choice. Just when the U.S. is in DESPERATE need of a real leader....like Ron Paul.
