Joe Biden in China
yesterday:
What we ended up doing is setting up a system whereby we did cut
by $1.2 trillion upfront, the deficit over the next 10 years.
And we set up a group of senators that have to come up with another
$1.2 to $1.7 trillion in savings or automatically there will be
cuts that go into effect in January to get those savings. So
the savings will be accomplished. But as I was talking to
some of your leaders, you share a similar concern here in
China. You have no safety net. Your policy has
been one which I fully understand — I’m not second-guessing — of
one child per family. The result being that you’re
in a position where one wage earner will be taking care of four
retired people. Not sustainable.
James Poulos said
it best: “I, too, fully understand China’s one-child
policy. It’s an abomination.”
By the way, Biden is a Catholic. I wonder what his Catholic
supporters think of his refusal to second-guess a
policy of forced sterilizations and abortions.

Biden's biography reflects that he's the oldest of four siblings. I wonder if his younger siblings would support a one child policy?

If Catholicism becomes a crime in America ( and I believe there are more than a few people in this current Administration who'd like to see that ) Joe Biden would stand no chance of being convicted.

I fear not China by 2050. It is the next 40 that might be problematic. But the Country has screwed itself demographically, between one child and the overpopulation of boys to girl babies (which is why it relatively easy to adopt girl chinese babies, but hard as hell to adopt a boy). The orphans are also treated abominably, as well.

The real worry, in the meantime, is what to do with all those excess males?
An awful lot of them are in the Chinese Military and there may come a time when some of the Chinese leadership decide it is time to use them for what they have been trained to do. As it is now, they are quite useful keeping the current leadership in control.

Joe Biden Is A Fake, Phoney, Fraud, False Catholic ,Who Has Been Denied The Right To Receive Holy Communion By His Native Scranton, Pennsylvania Bishop Joseph Martino.
Bob K.| 8.23.11 @ 7:48AM
Biden and his family left Scranton when he was 10 years old and relocated to Delaware. He has only returned recently for campaign trips and political funerals and never before he became a Senator. Martino was never his Bishop.
Occam's Tool| 8.23.11 @ 1:29AM
Martino is not Biden's bishop. Martino has also resigned. Biden is pro-choice, which is a serious problem.

It would seem that he is second guessing the policy in the next sentences, in terms they might understand (economic rather than moral).
Read the speech if you can. It is actualy pretty good. He sets up some common ground by discussing common problems, the need to understand each other's perspective on the solution, and the need for us to have dialogue about better solututions.
The comment quoted was given in that context.

There are many politicians who play the "I am a Catholic" playcard when it is adventageous for them politically. However, by their fruits, we shall know them. Watch to see how they live the rest of their lives. Are they really practicing the faith, or could it be that they are part of the Culture of Death giving scandal to Catholic Christians and other Christians to help destroy the Christian foundation of our republic?
