Barack Obama is intolerable. I watch right now as, yet again, he blames the bad economy, and now specifically the S&P downgrade, on “brinksmanship” in Washington and “an unwillingness to compromise” — as if he has absolutely nothing to do with either brinksmanship or unwillingness to compromise. Who was it who, just at the verge of a deal, suddenly insisted on an extra $400 billion in taxes, thus killing the “compromise”? Obama. Who was it who vowed to veto a debt-ceiling deal even if it made it through both branches of Congress, including a Democratic Senate, if it would require another debt-ceiling increase vote again before the next election? Obama. For that matter, Obama just said that the problem is people worrying too much about winning the next election rather than getting policy right. What a joke. Again, he is the guy who, on the debt ceiling (as just described) and on several other items has insisted that the next move must, absolutely must, not occur until after the next election. He’s the guy governing based on the next election.

He just said several times that “our politics is the problem.” As if he isn’t playing politics. He said it’s time to stop the attacks — even as his campaign says its goal is to “kill Romney.”

Amazingly, he just called, again, for passage of “trade deals” — even though he is the one who has blocked trade deals with Latin American allies for more than two years now.

This man is a hypcocrite, an egocentric louse, a liar, and a thoroughly unpleasant personality. He attacks, attacks, attacks, attacks — and then says that the problem is politicians who attack.

He also said it’s time to stop the blame game — even as, again, he blamed everything but himself for today’s economic problems. It was the unrest in the Middle East (not his anti-fossil fuels extremism) that caused high gas prices. It was European debt problems, and the Japanese Earthquake, and, and, and and and everything else he could think of, that just caused all these problems that he alone knows how to solve and would already be solving if only we would bow down before his exalted highness.

I could go on. Every word that passes his lops drops with demagoguery and nastiness. How we will put up with him for another 17 months, I really don’t know. But in 17 months, this man must go. Leave. Get out of our faces, and get out of our lives. Too bad it just can’t happen sooner. I’d take Joe Biden as president, in a heartbeat, over this intolerable creature.

Obama is fast becoming the blame the other guy President. Who has he blamed? President Bush,
Fat Cats on Wall Street, BP, Selfish Business People (Millionaires & Billionaires), Tea Party and Arab Spring. The only thing he left out was Democrats, Unions, Big University, and NGO's.

PCC| 8.11.11 @ 9:32PM

Dear Quin,

An excellent, sad but true sign-off: Joe Biden would be an improvement on President Obama.

Occam's Tool| 8.11.11 @ 3:24PM

I've started to refer to him as The POTUS, Vermin T. Maggot, Esq.

simon templar| 8.11.11 @ 3:47PM

OT,
Have you ever heard of Evan Sayet?

Eddie Willers| 8.11.11 @ 11:55PM

You can't refer to him as Esq. He doesn't have a law license or if he does it's not in Illinois. Look him up at the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. He wasn't there last time I looked.

Oldefarte| 8.12.11 @ 7:54PM

EW, I believe that either Illinois took away his law license or he let it lapse w/o paying the renewal fee. As said, he does not have an Illinois law license [and maybe the question should be DID HE EVER HAVE ONE?]!!!!!!!

Solo| 8.11.11 @ 3:32PM

I like how the left went apoplectic in the aftermath of the tragic shooting in AZ over Palin's use of "crosshairs" to mark targeted states for republican wins during the 2010 election cycle.
They attempted to claim that this violent imagery tempted the shooter to take action.
Obammy even makes an impassioned speech admonishing us to 'tone down' the harsh rhetoric.

Then, Obama's campaign thugs promptly announce a "Kill Romney" strategy for 2012!

These future campaign ads are writing themselves.

Solo| 8.11.11 @ 3:35PM

Whoa! there "Lonemusketeer". There is no stomach for impeaching his worthless arse and I doubt there is ample evidence of "High Crimes and Misdemeanors" to justify such action, in any case.

Looks like we're stuck with him until Jan. 2013.

We'll make it....somehow.

simon templar| 8.11.11 @ 3:40PM

Well, Quin..your train just pulled into the station of my home town. Now, we just have a few more blocks to go and you will arrive at the place where you will recognize that this is NOT incompetence or a bad personality but rather a purposeful, planned, ideological, effort of his to carry out specific transformational change and damage to the present political and economic system of the United States. Those last few blocks look a little scary and a bit dark but very real, nevertheless. So, if we are indeed successful in 2012, we will have accomplished nothing short of actually, not figuratively, saving this nation and the republic.

Quin| 8.11.11 @ 6:02PM

Simon, that's exactly what I have been saying since before the election of 2008. Again and again I've written it, right here at the AmSpec.

WJ| 8.11.11 @ 3:40PM

This poster sounds like the people on the left who had a case of Bush derangement syndrome. But, of course those people were all crazy fanatics.

Obama is a a lousy president with bad ideas. Bush was a lousy president with bad ideas. That didn't mean he was a disgusting hypocrite lying maggot.

You sound ridiculous.

simon templar| 8.11.11 @ 3:56PM

Yes, I am sure most of your understanding of the world, politics, and economics is probably very closely tied to sound bites and what you have been told to think and have heard and does not extend beyond that. I really suggest you crack a book, start with this President's books and learn exactly how he sees the world and his life and background. Then perhaps, you will discover who really sounds ridiculous and who is ill informed.

simon templar| 8.11.11 @ 4:02PM

BTW, there is a dfifference between accurate and rational criticism and irrational, inaccurate, and intentionally false criticism. One can be backed up with facts and evidence and the other is a stinking pile of lies, distortions, and smears. A discerning mind can usually see the difference. Also, you will not find to many fans out here for Bush either and people willing to face the truth about his faults and strengths.

Mimi| 8.11.11 @ 4:15PM

Bush was a respectedLEADER....had Honor and integrity....Grew mightily in his role as President and Commander in Chief...He above all did NOT bring this country to disgrace....You can never compare these TWO.... Did we agree with Bush all the TIME ? No.... but, He served Honorably....we can NEVER, NEVER say that about Obama. He alone has HURT this country worse and coldly deliberate than anyone even KNOWS the extent. He should be asked to resign, by those in responsible positions...at least consider it.... this will not end well ...One slip and that would tip this country toward an IMPEACHMENT ! I'm with Quin as are many others we can't take it anymore ! We love the country too much!! !!

OldCoot| 8.12.11 @ 8:40AM

Are you inferring that Obama is not a disgusting hypocrite lying maggot?

Clint| 8.11.11 @ 3:44PM

Americans Ain't Buyin' Obama's Blame/Credit Game.

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 21% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22 "

The Tea Party Rebellion Is Ramping Up For The 2012 Elections.

Rob| 8.11.11 @ 4:01PM

Why does kerning appear on his supposed birth certificate? This was the fatal flaw in the documents presented by Dan Rather as supposedly legitimate which he claimed to have been typed by George W. Bush's human resources officer back in his days with the Texas National Guard. Kerning appears now in MS Word, but couldn't be typed in those days, or back in 1961 either. Congress needs to say: "Your papers, please!"

simon templar| 8.11.11 @ 4:05PM

Expect to see this issue in the news again soon. As of today, a new investigation was opened up and subpeonas were obtained to acquire the original in his home state for analysis and comparison.

Would you like fries with that, you ignoramus?

Milpundit | 8.11.11 @ 5:16PM

Come 2012 Obamao will have the anonymity he longs for and so richly deserves.

Pecos Pete| 8.11.11 @ 6:02PM

We can only hope you are correct. My expectation is that after his defeat he will return to Chicago and NOT blend into the background. He will be 52, that's fairly young for an exPresident.

Will he become the World's Community Organizer in Chief?

Pelligrino| 8.11.11 @ 7:48PM

Yes, he needs to be out of office, and he'll be a young 51 in January 2013.

That's mighty young to just sit and work on one's memoirs. PP, I am with you. He's going to do something terribly bothersome. Worse than Billy Clinton jetting here and there and sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

Say, have you noticed? For a professor type (hardy, har-har), he sure is not very academic. What books might he read if he can snatch some free time on the 3d floor? Does he seem to write? Write anything? (We know he doesn't write his own speechses)

So what is professorial about him? (aside from the gagging lectures)

I know that there is decorum and such, but I hope that the new president doesn't even bother with seeing him off in that final Marine 1 flight on January 15, 2013.**

Can't we just arrange for a Yellow Cab?

With a bumper sticker: "Good riddance, scumbag!"

(I'd give a lot if that could magically be an event just next week)

**Jan. 15, 2013 -- our new Emancipation Proclomation Day

FastJohnny| 8.11.11 @ 5:38PM

Geez, I've been sick of this President since he was elected and started wagging his finger at Americans as he began his 4 year tax payer funded lecture circuit. Even Hillary would have been a better choice at this juncture. I sure as heck hope that if no serious challenger emerges to run against him, that he will removed from office by almost anyone by the same 'anyone but who is in office now' attitude that swept him in. His election reminds me of the tide in Port Newark: when it recedes you can smell the horrible stench.

Questionman| 8.12.11 @ 4:43PM

So because some of you are impressed by the way Hilary "carries herself", this qualifies her to be the answer to the residual effects of Bush/Republican disastrous economic policies over 8 years? What in particular did you find so persuasive? Was it the way she shook her butt? Or maybe a slight smile in the camera made you imagine that she was actually winking at just you. Hilary campaigned extremely hard against Obama and lost. Obama obviously superior. But Obama can't be successful so they make up every excuse in the book for Hillary's lousy campaign! There are many people who don't want a black president and right-wing hillary supporters prove it.

Richard Baker| 8.11.11 @ 5:40PM

Rick:
Is English a new language with you? Spelling isn't your forte, is it?

RJ| 8.11.11 @ 6:18PM

Obama = petulant, condescending, narcissistic empty-suit.

We would be better off with Chauncey Gardener serving as President. He may have been an idiot, but at least he was good-mannered and honest.

With each day, Obama is providing more evidence that he is an emotionally- troubled man who is not close to being up to the job.

Questionman| 8.12.11 @ 5:22PM

RJ = right-wing idiot
Second, someone who is as aggressive and in-your-face as Obama is not an empty suit by any definition. An empty suit, for the nth time, is a person who just shows up and wears the right suit and goes through the motions. That is not Obama. He is an active force.

Reaganaut| 8.11.11 @ 6:51PM

I couldn't agree more with you. The One is a disgrace and national disaster. Only in the political climate of 2008 could this guy have been elected Prez. Unfortunately, he is George W's gift to the American people. WE have to do better next year.

Questionman| 8.12.11 @ 6:02PM

If Obama was dealing with grown-ups, he wouldn't need to use such simplistic language.

For those of you too thick to understand, I believe that Mr. Obama is pointing out that Congressional Republicans refuse to eat anything but ice cream - in the form of tax cuts. They promised their friend Grover the Bully that they would never, ever eat anything green - except pistachio. If they ever do, and Grover finds out - they would be road kill.

azcita| 8.11.11 @ 7:30PM

We CAN get rid of him now!!! I've studied all the "birther" stuff for three years and so help me, it is true- he is not eligible. You simply cannot dismiss all the evidence in Jerome Corsi's book. Plus, he has committed felonies, for instance presenting the forged birth certificate in April. He is indictable and impeachable. Wake up!

Questionman| 8.12.11 @ 6:17PM

Howdy,

Note to self: add azcita to my "Total Idiot" list.

Do even know what an impeachment is?

Only 2 POTUS have been impeached and neither were removed from office.

An impeachment is basically the same as an indictment by a grand jury. Nothing more.

Plus based on the United States Code, the Constituition, etc would you impeach him on?

You cannot impeach Obama just because his black.

danny| 8.11.11 @ 7:37PM

Quin, I share your pain, but the man is going by the playbook, only going by the playbook. Some of us were out there trying our best to alert our peers of the danger of electing this man, but not enough of them heard what we were trying to tell them. Now all of us are paying the price.

Oregun| 8.11.11 @ 7:59PM

Wow! Talk about on the same page. I was just bemoaning these very facts to my poor wife. I am finding it hard to stomach seeing his mug any more much less listen to his lying hypocrisy. This nightmare can't end soon enough! I pray that this never happens to this country again. What a shyster!

Bo Darville| 8.11.11 @ 9:04PM

Well, he did name his purebred "rescue" dog, "Bo". Which also happens to be his initials. That was very humble of him to name his dog after himself. Then I believe he's only written his memoirs twice by age 50. Most people aren't quite so humble to even write them once.

Pecos Pete| 8.12.11 @ 7:35AM

Dadgumit! Stupid me, I didn't pick up on the name of the dog as the initials of King O. Thanks for pointing this out.

By the way, has anyone seen or heard anything about the first dog lately?

Westie| 8.13.11 @ 2:13PM

At least BO the dog has papers!

wodiej| 8.11.11 @ 10:35PM

A shameful embarrassment for this country.

Jeff Perren | 8.11.11 @ 11:03PM

Quin,

I agree with what you say here; there's no question that he is a thoroughly unsavory piece of work.

But I can actually ignore most of that.

It's his ideas that I find intolerable. His philosophy is so repugnant, and the reason for all the things you mention, that it's that against which I continually rebel.

Once he's gone, that, unfortunately, will still be with us - in the form of ObamaCare, Sotomayer and Kagan, and a host of other things it will take a long time to undo.

Not that I'm not equally looking forward to November 2012 when Rick Perry's election is going to boot this guttersnipe back to where he should have stayed in the first place.

P.Diddy| 8.12.11 @ 1:34AM

Proof positive you should be able to pass a basic civics class before you are allowed to vote.

Granny Jan | 8.12.11 @ 6:59AM

I loved this post. I watched most of his performance and Quin summed it up perfectly.

I'm not sure he captured fully the anger on Obama's face. The malevolent look in his eyes. He is becoming unhinged.

The photogaphers know BO better than anyone. The Getty photog is showing the malevolent look on BO's face more and more., I have a collection of them along with the pouty Obama that everyone knows.

This can't be on purpose. What campaign operative alive would send his client out to scare the bejesus out of soccer moms.

No, BO is unraveling...slowly.

OldCoot| 8.12.11 @ 8:30AM

Quin, can you try to be less circumspect when discussing how you really feel about our president.

Undine | 8.12.11 @ 9:04AM

Rant of the day. Thanks. It's somewhat encouraging, in these dark days, to be reminded that I'm not the only one who finds Obama not just politically despicable, but personally repellent.

Oldefarte| 8.12.11 @ 8:02PM

Pre 11/4/08, I wrote about this man's questionable background, associations etc, and predicted then what is happening now. His election was the largest FRAUD ever perpetuated upon this country, sadly. Pam Geller of Atlas Shrugs.com editorialized yesterday beautifully that he is the epitome of the Democrats' political efforts of 50+ years of the socialization of America. We the people of this once great nation simply F*&KED; UP SUPREMELY in 2008, and we are rightfully paying the price for our incompetence now. Sadly, this nation deserves each and every thing that is now occurring, since there is no excuse possible for the stupidity that was perpetuated when he was elected as PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

poptoy| 8.13.11 @ 4:54AM

Great Article. Mr. Hillyer nailed it. Perfect ! This man is one of the best Journalist in the World. six short paragraphs to explain this in depth is all it took to tell the absolute turth. Mr. Hillyer, Thank YOU SIR.

Thanks for proving that The American Spectator in no way employs real journalists, Quin. I've never heard a more unhinged and insane hissy fit from someone in the press. Even if this is how you feel, you don't know how to maintain at least the appearance of having journalistic ethics? Apparently not. My question is...what will happen when Obama wins re-election in 2012? Will your head explode or are you so unhinged that you will try to take him out yourself. "Leave. Get out of our faces and get out of our lives. Or what Quin? What will happen if he doesn't?
