So, yeah, Romney dueling with ridiculous hecklers put a smile on my face, but Tim Carney suggests there's some corporatist rot beneath the rhetoric. Just in case you were looking for that ever-elusive third perspective!

What's the problem with Romney's comments anyway? In the Citzens United decision, the supreme court ruled that corporations have the rights spelled out in the Constitution. Just like people! Because everyone knows that when the framers wrote the constitution the original intent was that the Bill of Rights applied not just to US Citizens, but also to US corporations. That original intent may not have been clear previously, but it became clear when it aligned with conservative political interests.
