In going against my Catholism, the government's recent establishment of free birth control methods to women is exactly what's needed to stop the birthing of children to indigent women/couples who are not financially capable to support/educate properly same. The governmental welfare historical defecit/debt burden [re: Affordable Homes, War on Poverty, the Great Society, Community Action Agencies, Acorn etc] can only be lessened/eliminated if these financial indigents stop bringing children into this world that they cannot afford to take care of and thereafter become dependent upon the government/taxpayers to do what they themselves cannot!!!!!!!

Got news for ya, it has not worked and has resulted in 58 million abortions since 1973 and 4 generations of welfare recipents which encourages the father leaving the home and having more children. Furthermore, condoms and birth control pills have been given out free and at discounts for decades at planned parenthhood and other agencies. The real issue is dependency on government support and no incentive to get off of it and a system that rewards social, sexual, economic, and moral irresponsibility, dependence, and democratic voting loyalty to that system.

Oh, and by the way, your argument was the main left wing argument used in selling abortion to the public and the subsequent 1973 court ruling making it legal.

You mean like Obama's mother?

They would have to voluntarily use birth control to reduce birthing. That would reduce the amount of welfare they receive.

simon templar| 8.5.11 @ 6:32PM

They have no incentive to do so...and have not exercised that choice. When they do get pregnant, many of them opt for abortion. Killing a whole race of people to avoid spending tax dollars on supporting them just does not seem like a good idea, no matter how tempting...what do think?

Wayne | 8.6.11 @ 12:48PM

Yet we incentivize having children with welfare and child credits. My wife and I decided years ago that we couldn't afford to have children, yet we have been forced to pay for other peoples children, even those in this country illegally.

Exactly, they have two choices, they are either given a chit for an abortion or they are given a welfare check for complete dependence on the democratic machine.

58 million people---that would mean at least 25 million more taxpayers---imagine what we could do with that money, and imagine how much more solvent Medi/Medi would be. Oh, well---the Baby boomers spent their time getting high and being asswipes.

The entire democrat party narrative is, to be polite, Orwellian. To be precise; a lie.

Their "Gender Equality" initiative is about granting special advantage based on gender--which is, by definition, sexist.

Their "Racial Equality" policy is about granting special advantage based on race--which is, by definition, racist.

Their "Budget Cuts" are actually spending increases.

Their "Green Technologies" actually trade one type of pollution for another.

Their "Energy Efficiency" policies actually waste energy and make it more expensive.

And....my all time favorite.....the recent claim that, "... every dollar spent on unemployment payments, creates a $1.10 in economic activity in the private sector"! Imagine that! The democrats have discovered a "Perpetual Motion" machine!

Imagine how quickly our economy would take off if we all quit working and went on unemployment!

They're liars! And I'm positively gobsmacked that anyone ever votes for the bastards!

Wayne | 8.6.11 @ 12:51PM

Has me perplexed also. I think people in general have trouble believing they are deliberately being lied to.
